MrC is an amazing Hotel, with everything one would need to feel relaxed. Rooms are amazing, everything is clean and well taken care of with downservice to check if you need something in the evening. Restaurant has amazing food and the staff is professional. Going to the pool feels like you’re on top of the world with amazing views and great bar. In an unbelievable location, right in the heart of Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, the Beach South Beach Hotel is one of the historic Art Deco buildings that appears in souvenirs and postcards. The hotel looks a little dated but that matters absolutely nothing at all once you take in consideration how inexpensive it is, the WONDERFUL staff (Sena, this is especially for you! YOU ROCK! all others too, of course!), their local restaurant recommendations, the British-like breakfast included, the free bikes you can use whenever you want, the lobby where we can rest in the AC to get away from the heat and humidity in the street... everything, absolutely everything is just spot on. If I return to Miami Beach this is definitely where I'm staying!

Miami is, how shall I put, its own unique ecosystem.

Miami is, how shall I put, its own unique ecosystem. To start with, English has been relegated to second place here. Everywhere you go, Spanish reigns supreme. From the hotel staff to the café counters, even the street chatter, it’s Havana with palm trees and shopping malls. My suspicion that most locals are descendants of proud Cuban exiles was confirmed by our young driver on the road trip to Key West. He spoke English about as well as I dance salsa, which is to say, poorly. Curious (and mildly alarmed), I asked through a translation app how he managed to read the road signs, since they’re all in English. He grinned, gestured vaguely, and launched into rapid-fire Spanish. I caught about three words and none of them were “safe driving.” One wonders how the man ever passed his driving test—perhaps there’s a “viva la velocidad” clause in Florida licensing laws. In other curiosities, dogs here enjoy equal rights with humans. They lounge in hotel foyers, sip water in restaurants, and occupy bar stools with far more poise than some of their owners. Meanwhile, the streets feature small autonomous robots trundling about, delivering parcels like mechanical ants, fascinating to watch until one nearly rolls over your toes. And while the rest of the world obsesses about “net zero by 2050,” Miami seems more interested in horsepower than hybrid power. Sure, there are Teslas, but they’re dwarfed (literally) by Ford F-150s and Ram trucks the size of suburban garages. Despite the chaos, or maybe because of it, Miami exudes a peculiar sense of freedom. The rules feel lighter, the air somehow less bureaucratic. Perhaps that’s what makes this place so intoxicating: a reminder that sometimes, less government interference and more sunshine isn’t such a bad way to live.

While the staff at the hotel was friendly, the overall experience was disappointing. The room had cleanliness and odor issues, poor lighting, and lacked basic amenities like towels, which had to be requested. There was also no clear communication about breakfast options. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would return to a hotel like this, especially for the price I paid, there are many other options nearby with equal or better rates and much better standards. I expected more.

The beds are small as compared to the hotels we have stayed all over America except in NY of course. There are no cabinets or drawers. No microwave. If you only want to swim and go mall this is the best place.

This hotel was a complete disappointment.

This hotel was a complete disappointment. It seems to operate as a drug rehabilitation center, with homeless men sitting out front and standing along the side of the building. I didn't feel safe walking to my room, and when I got inside, I saw roaches scrambling around. I was so disausted that I couldn't even stay the night. Unfortunately, I couldn't cancel my reservation, but I definitely won't be returning. And if your reading this please take note.

The room was clean and spaceous, but you had to pay extra for a microwave. The cleanning staff was very inconsiderate! They completely ignore 'Do not disturb' signs and the maid kept changing the temperature of my thermostat so that I froze every time I walked back into the room at night. The first day I checked in, I notified the Front Desk that the lock on my patio door did not work correctly. I could not open the door with my key from the outside. I stayed there for 5 days and the lock was never fixed.

Thee property was clean and well-appointed but we never could get the hot water to work in the shower and calling the representative did not attempt to solve this problem. The TV's did not have any directions and we could not get them to work, I think they use Alexa and we did not know how to access. We admit we probably did not know how to activate but there were no directions provided. Overall it is clean and well-appointed, we would have give it an excellent review if we had hot water for our shower, checking in problems with the wrong property and no directions on activate the TV.

Florida have some of the best highways I’ve experienced anywhere for a long time. Unfortunately, the maniacs who drive those roads forget common courtesy for those who isn’t as familiar as they are.. 80 mph in the right lane, please give me a break and I’m used to drive in on the Audubond.

The only thing that can be adjusted was the check out time...

The only thing that can be adjusted was the check out time my flight arrived in Miami at 7.23pm I got to the hotel at 8.30pm and the check out time is 1pm and my connecting flight was 9 pm so to stay longer I had to pay extra which is not right to your guest. You should have some adjustments for these situations
