I loved this hotel! Our room was huge, there was tons of storage available, desk, tables, a sofa - I could easily have lived here for months, so for a week it was luxury. The neighbourhood couldn’t be better, close enough to everything but away from the more frantic areas near Time Square. The housekeeping staff was outstanding. This was our last stop after two months travel, staying at over 2 dozen hotels. The beds here were absolutely the most comfortable! The room had all the amenities o e could want and they very generously replaced water, Nespresso and tea daily. I would happily stay here next time I visit NYC.

FAQs about hotels in Manhattan

Wake Up in the City That Never Sleeps

Nothing prepares you for your first glimpse of Manhattan. This legendary island is everything you’ve seen and read. And more.

Its most famous skyscraper is the Empire State Building, though some argue that views from the Top of the Rock in the Rockerfeller Centre are even better as they actually feature NYC’s most iconic building. Equally unmistakable is the Chrysler Building, overlooking Grand Central Station whose interior is pristine.

Wandering Times Square it’s easy to see why this city never sleeps. Broadway, with its theatres, runs through it and continues to Central Park, a haven of greenery. At its midway point is the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and MoMA is another museum nearby.

Other midtown Manhattan attractions include Radio City Music Hall and St Patrick’s Cathedral, while further south are the intriguing districts of Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Chinatown. Streets in between house the bastions of New York shopping – Macy’s, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue.

However, the real business goes down at Manhattan’s southernmost tip, where Wall Street houses the New York Stock Exchange. North-west is the Ground Zero Memorial, while from southern Battery Park ferries depart to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

Space is at a premium in NYC so there aren’t many Manhattan hotels with free parking. However, Booking.com does offer great Manhattan hotel deals, including cheaper options.

I loved the location. It was walking distance to everything I needed whilst in NYC. The Staff were great and explained with clarity. Whilst sitting in lobby, I was surprised that alot of checkins didn't read your adverts properly expecting their rooms to be lavish with inbuilt bathrooms and toilets. By the way, for those of us who attended boarding school in our Secondary education, the hotel was exceptional. The staff were really patient with those that didn't understand how the hotel operated and great effort for them to having the tolerance to surprised patrons.

The facilities were very clean, rooms, bathrooms, everything. You need to go up some stairs to cross the bridge in get to the subway station by walk, but it's totally doable (about 12 min walk). The Vernon Station is well connected with everything in just a couple of minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful. They lent me an iPhone charger. Kadidja was great.

Very vibrant city, excellent food esp Korean, Italian, Vietnam. Stature of Liberty as viewed from the boat ride, panoramic view of NYC from One World Observatory, Central Park and the 911 museum are good. Easy to get around by train and the city is very walkable. The train stations and the cabins are cleaner than expected. Roads, avenues and streets are labelled with an understandable system so easy to locate oneself. Time Square is too crowded and not that pleasant to visit.

We love staying in Brooklyn whenever we come to NYC. Our son, daughter-in-law and grandson reside in Carroll Gardens, them of course being the main draw and reason for us choosing to stay in Brooklyn. Now being familiar with the area, however, I would highly recommend Brooklyn as the place to stay when visiting the city. It is very family friendly, has numerous great restaurants, bars and live music and is very aesthetically pleasing. We love walking down the brownstone lined streets, seeing the many piers so creatively designed for families, going to the Brooklyn Promenade, seeing the beautiful views of the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan. Lastly, it is very easy to get from Brooklyn into the city. The subway system is much easier to navigate than what one may think!

From the periodic information passengers were able to get my United flight to Portland Maine was repeatedly delayed and then cancelled because the plane would not be able to land once it arrived. We were traveling from central PA to visit the Statue of Liberty and didn't want to make the trip in one day, so we decided to get lodging the night prior to our day trip. We debated on whether to stay in New Jersey or New York. We searched for rooms and this motel in Jersey City seemed like a good choice. It was perfect. We walked to a coffee shop in Jersey City and felt quite safe. We passed many solo joggers, mothers with small children and bicyclists. The part of the city we were in was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised.

After landing at Liberty, we rented a car for our tours of NYC. Finding and paying for parking in NYC was a difficulty I could live without. Fortunately, most tolls were paid with the car rental agreement. The Secaucus location was perfect for driving, but the buses stop right outside the hotel. If it were available to guests, more information on bus routes to the City's main attractions, as well as details on paying for bus and subway toll passes and wheelchair accessibility, would be helpful and might change how a traveler chooses to get around.

Great location and a reasonably comfortable bed, with basic coffee/shower amenities—that’s where the positives end. Housekeeping was disorganized (no English, gave me a duvet insert with no cover and never delivered it over three days; didn’t make the bed, didn’t restock coffee pods, no trash liners). Free Wi-Fi was ~10 Mbps and too slow for most apps. Not recommended.
