Beautiful location right next to the water. Each area is thoughtfully done and has a beautiful old cottage feel throughout. Check in was smooth and our room was great. Kids loved the little puzzles in the hallways and all the other little touches throughout property.

Summer traffic can get slow, but it continues to move. Wolfeboro has everything a lake resort town can have. Locals are very friendly. Lake access is superior. Many restaurants, many unique shops.

We love coming to this area and have been coming since I was a child. There is a lot to do and see in this area. We’ve been going to the Bank of NH pavilion the last few years and it’s a great place. From our hotel in Laconia it took less than 15 minutes to get to. Getting around Laconia is easy. Great views.

It is a beautiful location on the lake and outlet shopping is close by as well. The restaurants all had excellent food and shopping at the Marketplace at the Mill was plentiful. There are many hiking trails as well.

It has lots to offer in services, places to eat, and activities. Maybe a few more restaurants would have been nice. Lots of easy access to shopping, groceries, hardware stores etc. Quiet and less touristy then some areas. Any beach we went to had plenty of parking and was not over crowed. Would have liked a few more bike trails. We went to Barlett Beach which is pet friendly, we also spent an afternoon at the beach at Ahern State Park (very peaceful), and we went to Weirs Beach which was not crowded and had shaded areas with picnic tables as well as a good sized sandy beach.

The side of Lake Winnipesaukee where Center Harbor is located has lots to offer. There are restaurants (I highly recommend Gusto's a small Italian Cafe that offers breakfast, lunch and pastries. The homemade focaccia bread and the cappuccino were excellent. We took a scenic boat trip on the Mt. Washington. When we got off of the Mt. Washington, Weirs Beach was 100 yards down the road. Nice beach for kids with a playground nearby. The scenic railroad would be something I would consider for my next visit. I just loved the entire area. It was in mid-September, so it was probably less crowded than usual.

Weirs Beach is a nostalgic location that sadly is becoming overdeveloped. Each time I visit, more of the small inns and motels are being replaced with condos. The beach, boardwalk, arcade, scenic train, and Mt. Washington scenic cruise are still there and add to the stunning natural beauty of the surroundings. Hopefully the development will slow, and these things will be preserved so that the area remains an attraction for years to come.

The hotel was very good.

The hotel was very good. It surpassed our expectations since other reviewers rated it so it received a 7.7 score. This is unfair. The rooms are clean, comfortable, bright, and spacious. The bathroom, however, is a bit tight. Common rooms had gracious space and the location of the hotel in the center of time is excellent. Plus we had a beautiful view from our room. We do not understand the mediocre rating given this hotel.

Over the years Meredith has become a very congested spot.

Over the years Meredith has become a very congested spot. The original Mills area has been completely revamped for summer tourism. Areas to explore if you have a car include the Hobo Railroad, Castle in the Clouds, Gunstock Mountain, Mount Washington Cruises, and some of the smaller public beaches if you have no access otherwise. The Fall colors are indescribable in the Lakes Region. A must see.

Town is great - has a lot to offer as long as your not trying to do "tourist" things - the town itself doesn't have much to do and if your looking for night life - LOOK ELSEWHERE - "sidewalks" pretty much roll up at sundown - hard to find anything open past 10 pm - but if your looking for layed back peace & quiet - you found it here
