The room was clean and the view on the lake was amazing. Even if outside was pretty cold, the room was warm and very clean. I had no problem parking neither at the Inn and at the Lodge. Even with the snow and the ice, with the car was easy to reach both location. Other than the room, I tired the services of both the Hikers' Cafe and the second floor bar. They were both very good in terms of price-quality ratio, with plenty of possible choices. The location, generally speaking, is amazing. The setting is peaceful, charming and historic; the two pools (indoor and outdoor) are fun and the gym was excellent. Our room was spacious and we loved the window seat looking over the grounds. Breakfast was very nice, and the surrounding village was charming for a walk or a meal out. The staff were warm and welcoming. We loved the time to catch our breath before going back into Manhattan. Your location is great for my visits to West Point Military...
Your location is great for my visits to West Point Military Academy to see my son and there was plenty of shops and restaurants near by . The bed was very comfortable. I was extremely disappointed when I arrived at almost midnight Friday because you did not have a working ice machine and I was told, at that time of night, that my best option was to go to the neighboring gas station to purchase ice as they are open 24 hrs. The excuse for no ice at the hotel was that you were renovating and becoming a Hilton Spark. I was shocked that you did not have a backup plan for your ice situation as you never had ice the entire weekend. Additionally, due to your construction and a tripping of a fuse, Sunday when I was leaving, I waited over 5 minutes for the elevator and gave up. I walked down three flights of stairs with luggage to be told the elevator wasn't working due to the fuse and the front desk was just informed of it so they were fixing it. If you are traveling with elderly or individuals with disabilities, this would be a horrible situation. I could not bring my father to visit his grandson with this were to continue. I do hope that once you have converted to a Hilton things will improve with customer service. I lived in the Poughkeepsie area for 45 years. It is a great place to live and to visit. It offers many great things to do in the surrounding areas as well for families, couples and singles too. The Mall was fabulous , large choice of restaurants with great places to eat . The convenience of shopping choices and food , so many different stores to shop at. Very easy to get around Middletown. Orangeburg has some great places to check out! Restaurants worth going to are Gino's Bagel, Nonna's Pizza, Fiesta Mexico, and Thai Garden. Head down 340 to Tallman Mountain State Park for some nice trails and scenic views of the Hudson River. We loved the look of the town, hoping to come back and see more. Parking in most areas was hard to find and it’s all pay to park. We found a great coffee shop called coffee labs and the bagel emporium was delicious as well. We found some of the restaurants didn’t seem family friendly and were rather pricey. We stopped in Newburg so we could participate in a tour of West Point the next day. The building was a little dated but well maintained. Nice carpets in the hallway and our room. Stayed for overnight location along driving route. Not a pleasant area. Driving access awkward-ramps poorly-marked, U-turns to do everything. Lots of aggressive, horn-blowing drivers. But much of the NYC area is this way. Avoid staying in Nanuet if possible.Guest review byRobertUnited States - 4.0

Deplorable hotel room!!! The rugs were dirty and the wallpaper was stained. The ceiling paint was peeling off the walls& the furniture was old and scratched! The lighting in the room was dismal & overall appearance was eery and below budget to the point. I slept with the lights on all night in case anything would jump on my bed I can see it faster that with the lights off. The room also smelled musty with a odor. Do not stay at this hotel please save your money!! When I came back from my event & complained to the front desk which is when I really noticed everything … the worker said all the rooms are the same so if that’s the case why bother to be a guest unless you like sleeping in filth with your family!!
