The Hotel is located next to the Beach Park. It has been maintained well. The hotel has two outdoor pools along with hot tub. Sunrise viewing is a literally walk across the park. We had a ocean view room so could view the sunrise from the window. The hotel also has laundary facility, which was very effective. Also, there was enough parking including a overflow area. The check-in and check-out was seamless experience. It is highly recomended for families with kids. The unique thing is that Lydgate Beach Park is right next to the property, and you can spend quality time both during sunrise and sunset hours and throughout the day too. As we did not avail the breakfast facilitiy, cannot comment on it.

Everything!! 1. Location: océan front , you can walk by the beach to tunel beach and Haena beach park, the two most beautiful beaches both me and my mom ever saw (and we are Brazilian and have travelled extensively in south east Asia, Brazil, Central America and the Caribbean). Also, from the hotel you can see the sunrise! The sun literally emerges from the sea in front of you. You need a car to get to all extra activities, but if you are travelling to Kawai you need one anyways. Bear in mind that throughout the island dinner options are limited, but, who cares?! The place is unique!! Can’t wait to be back 2. Our cottage was super comfortable! Almost too big for only the two of us. Simple luxury, everything we could have thought for was provided, but nothing was ostentatious! Kitchen with all amenities needed, bed super comfortable, beautiful view from the terrace (even if next time we will take the ocen front chalet), quiet and very clean! The terrace was also beautiful. 3. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Very kind and accommodating! We will definitely be back!!

The apartment was absolutely delightful. No exaggeration, the best place we had ever been. Super spacious, well equipped, clean, with all the facilities you could need! The resort is beautiful, is well taken care of. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They even had beach stuff (chairs, umbrellas...) to borrow for the day. If I ever go back to Kauai, I will for sure stay there again! I would have stayed forever if I could!

Love Princeville just don't stay at the cliffs.

Love Princeville just don't stay at the cliffs. I requested ahead of time 2nd floor so that were could have a view and it was our honeymoon. But they just said they could not accommodate. Not sure if it's because we booked thru booking.com. There just did not seem to be much Aloha. We are from Oahu and it was just not what we are use to as far as friendlyness. They don't answer their phone and they don't answer messages for days. Just would not stay here again.

The Hanalei area is the opposite of a commercial resort style town. The businesses are small, mainly local. Tons of charm, beautiful beach. If you’re looking for nightlife, this might not be the right area for you. For local charm, it’s great.

Central location for exploring the north shore.

Central location for exploring the north shore. Plenty of beautiful beaches, shopping in Hanalei & nature walks. Check out Foodland for poké & hot food takeaway at ridiculously reasonable prices.

Princeville is a quiet residential neighborhood.

Princeville is a quiet residential neighborhood. Hanalei is a village about 15 minutes, with some nice restaurant and boutiques. Bigger town, Kappa is 35 minutes. However, Princeville has a grocery store with all your needs. I really enjoyed Princeville and will stay again there. Kauai is a low-key beautiful island with Waimea Canyon n much more to offer.
