- From US$146.77 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 402 reviewsWe enjoyed our 1-night stay in Gunnison & this was a good choice for our hotel. I work for an airline and stay in random hotels all over the USA every week & this was just as good as any major named hotel where we stay with my airline. The pool and jacuzzi were the cleanest ones I’ve seen & used in any hotel over the past few months. We stayed in a hotel in Aspen recently & the chemicals from the jacuzzi burned our eyes and the hotel said that that was normal and necessary for keeping it sanitary which isn’t true at all. The room was clean and bathroom was on the tiny side but not bad. The sink and counter with the mirror are outside of the bathroom so it didn’t matter that the shower /bath/ toilet space was small. Towels were not too thin or small which sometimes gets annoying in smaller hotels. These towels were decent. The beds were comfortable and pillows were decent too. It was cold & rainy so we didn’t need to try the ceiling fan but that would be great for people who don’t want to use air conditioning or like to have a fan on at night. Breakfast was basic but I rarely like hotel breakfast food in the USA so I’m a bit critical about it. The bacon was ok and the only thing I seem to like these days is the same exact waffle maker in so many USA hotels & they have it here too. I like making my own waffles. I need to start carrying a jug of Vermont maple syrup on me though because then they would be even better.Guest review byKeithSpain

We appreciated the ‘storage’ for the ski up there. Tenants are really nice.Guest review byJulienUnited States

My only complaint was 5B's BBQ.
My only complaint was 5B's BBQ. I had the two meat plate of brisket and pulled pork with a side of coleslaw and beans. The portions were tiny and the McRib from Mickey D's is better BBQ. Also, the staff was not friendly. Favorite spots: Hartman Rocks, Marshall Pass, Dos Rios Golf Course, High Alpine Brewing Company.Guest review byrobertUnited States - 10.0

Crested Butte is one of the few remaining historic ski towns in Colorado, as yet uncluttered by NYC shopping areas, etc. A genuine mountain experience without all the ski bunnies. It is even better in the summer, although massive new residential development (post covid) is beginning to weigh on the authenticity of the area.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 6.0
Our reservation was incorrect from Booking.com to the lodge.
Our reservation was incorrect from Booking.com to the lodge. We reserved a pet friendly room and put in the notes that we had one dog. When we got to the hotel they said the reservation from Booking.com said no pet and no dog. The staff told us they were not any pet rooms left. They did fine a room for us. Very frustrated at Booking .com.Guest review byVander Velde - 10.0

I thought Gunnison was a clean, safe and lovely small town. We ate at Subway and took our lunches to the beautiful park and ate. We had our dog with us and there were plenty of picnic tables and shade trees so it was perfect.Guest review byCervera - 10.0

If you want to experience an old fashioned mining town that hasn't become "modern", then Crested Butte is the place. Every view looks like a post card and the temperature in the summer is wonderful. Crested Butte doesn't have a single stop light, just two four way stops. Our family has been to Crested Butte both in the Winter and Summer and we like them both. In the summer there is actually more things you can do and explore. And everyone you run into is happy and smiling. Nice.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
It was a pleasant, remote mountain community.
It was a pleasant, remote mountain community. We enjoyed seeing some of the scenery in the region and the downtown area and wish we could have stayed longer. We liked the fact that many businesses were open past 5 which isn't always the case in small communities. It would be interesting to see it in the winter. We enjoyed shopping and eating pizza at Secret Stash. It seemed to be the most popular eatery. The free live music at the museum was a nice touch. The man at the Chamber of Commerce was quite helpful.Guest review byThe VagabondsUnited States - 8.0
Cute little spot.
Cute little spot. Was up there for work but have been going up there since I was a kid. Not a lot of fast food so be warned but lots there still if you enjoy the outdoors and the little mom and pop spots. Nice slower lifestyle that I prefer over the hustle and bustling of the city.Guest review byJustenUnited States - 10.0

We came just after the Wildflower Festival, and the views were outstanding. Not enough time in this visit to get acclimated to the elevation, but hiking and biking opportunities abound. The people we met were friendly and the staff at the hotel, restaurant, etc., were personable and accomodating,Guest review byRoyUnited States - 10.0

Excellent, although there are high speed lifts and slow lifts. Grooming was excellent, plenty of open, fast runs. Scenery was excellent. I did not see a large, open, gathering and cafeteria and picnic area at the base. Great free shuttle transport system.Guest review byGaryUnited States
