We particularly enjoyed spending time at the hotel bar and casual conversation with Gregg. He made us feel very welcome. We stayed at The Barn for breakfast and dinner and had a fabulous meal every time. We would love to stay again in the future.

All the staff there are super friendly. Because I checked-in late (6PM), they also offered me a complementary 12 PM check-out the next day (1 hr later than the normal 11 AM checkout). The property is clean and well-maintained. The common area gives me a cozy feeling. We had some great chatter sitting near the fireplace with a couple of drinks. The room we booked (Ramble) has a daybed and a window you can look out too. I believe in spring or summer the view will be much greener (we visited in early Feb). The bedding is super comfy. The mattress is not too soft to make you feel you are sinking into it, which I really like.

We tried this place out for just one day to see what it would be like. The room was very spacious for the price. This place must very popular and hard to book during the summer. It was surprising it even had two TVs in the room we stayed in.
Loved the gas fireplace and big refrigerator and the balcony. Unbeatable for the value. This will be our go to getaway place from now on for this area.

The Inn was lovely. Room was very quaint and comfortable. The location was beautiful and close to both Lee and Lenox town centers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the wine and coffee in the room was just the perfect touch. I loved everything about this place.

I loved that the historic quality of the Inn was preserved and that it had not been renovated to death. Its antique charms were well preserved and that’s what I loved best. The creaking floors, the dark hallways with nooks and crannies, the wonderful antiques. Please don’t change!

With no onsite breakfast,, terrible tv feeds, only partial management present during periods of the day and never after 7:ooPM, I would never suggest any one stay in this establishment. It appeared there were only about 1/5 occupancy, then, I would not attempt to operate it during a shoulder portion of the season.

I stayed in Pittsfield to visit the New Lebanon and Pittsfield Shaker villages. It was wonderful to see these historical places.
Pittsfield is a bit sad as a town, a bit decayed... though they do have a theater and a concert hall.

We stayed in Great Barrington to attend a performance at the Mahaiwe. It was leaf-peeping season, so we stayed two nights. It was a pleasure to drive around the countryside.
We had breakfast both days at Marketplace Kitchen Table, right across the street from our motel. On Saturday evening we ate at The Well. The food and service are great, but there can be a wait to eat indoors.

One of the worst motels in my life.
One of the worst motels in my life. Working here very strange people, by smell of marihuana from them all the time. On matrass by some reason was plastic cover , and on it impossible to sleep (never see it in hotels before, but I changed a lot of hotels and motels). When I removed it, they told about bugs , which can come without it and why I took it away. All old and ruined. No any hangers at all. No any change of linens and towels. For shampoo you need to ask. In bathroom a lot of huge ants.

A very "walkable" town that has much to offer - a good selection of restaurants and arts activities. The presence of MCLA and the many state and local parks really enhances the area's cultural and outdoor offerings. Although there a a handful of stately homes that are need of repair, this only enhances the charm of the city. Within an hour's walk, I was able to take in a good portion of the city. Highly recommend Ramunto's Brick Oven Pizza - delicious food and an easy walk from Downstreet Hotel and other points downtown.

The only attraction for us was the Norman Rockwell Museum, and Main St, which Rockwell made famous. There are no real choices of dinning other than the Red Lion. No other night life, or attractions as it is pretty much in the middle of no where.
