We were there during the summer and the alpine slide was a BLAST! We rode it over and over again. Gondola to the top was awesome too. A lot of places there and in town close REALLY early, but they just don't seem to have staff to keep them open later, so be prepared for that. It might be different during the winter when their ski season is in full swing. A beautiful area for gambling, spending time with friends, and close to Central City for sightseeing, with a very walkable location. If you go early in the week, such as Monday and Tuesday, you might find many restaurants closed on those days. It was enjoyable to explore the various casinos and take in the different restaurants, coffee shops, and all-night options. Location was great for the price.
Location was great for the price. Frisco adventure park was only 12 min away. Lots of stores and restaurants close by. We needed to pick up a few things from Target and it was down the street. Highway 70 is a main road giving us access to many towns and we where very close and where able to sightsee. The folks were very friendly and helpful in this town. Winter Park is close to Denver compared to other large ski resorts, but the mountain itself is smaller and there are not that many bases or bowls to distribute the crowd, so you can easily get trapping in lines. Management very rude and ugly ! accused me of smoking in there room never did smoke in that room said they saw me a straight out lie I smoked outside the room already smelled of cigarettes smoke from people having fires which we did but they charged my account 200:00 dollars for smoking in that room I never did I smoked outside when I smoked must be scramblers charge people with a fee for no reason to make extra money idk never been treated so ugly the room already smelled like dog pee fire wood smoke food smells be we didn’t say anything because we had a time getting a room in the area very tired which we had now but saying they saw me smoking 2 times is a straight out lie the management is crazy ! We stayed in Georgetown because of it's direct access to...
We stayed in Georgetown because of it's direct access to Guanella Pass and the great hiking trails available there. We are too old for camping so we stayed in a motel. Once away from I-70 the town is cute and walkable, with the sound of mountain streams. There are a couple of ok restaurants. This is obviously an inexpensive place to stay if skiing the big resorts along the I-70 corridor and the town has facilities to accommodate skiers.Guest review byMARTHAUnited States - 10.0
Dillon is a great location that is right in the Colorado...
Dillon is a great location that is right in the Colorado Rockies. There are significant opportunities for hiking, biking and boating. The only down side is the traffic between Denver and Dillon on weekends. Driving back to Denver from Dillon is horrendous on a Sunday afternoon. A beautiful little town nestled in the Rocky Mountains. Gambling is fun but you can just walk down through the town, take in the feel of an old mining town. Kinda takes you back to the old west. We love the location and beauty of Black Hawk.
We love the location and beauty of Black Hawk. We had not been there in 20 years and although it has changed over the years it's still the small quaint area we remember. We wished there were more breakfast options as none of the restaurants open until 10:00 a.m. on the main strip & if you do find a "snack bar" type place they do not serve full breakfast they only serve a couple options such as a breakfast burrito or english muffin breakfast sandwich.Guest review byLisaUnited States - 8.0

The location of Silverthorne is great. We spend a lot of time there, year-round, for recreational activities. We primarily ate at home on our recent trip; meals out were associated with skiing activities. Easy access to I70 opens possibilities for several ski areas; highway closures in (I70) are a major problem in winter.
