In the beginning, l was a bit hesitant to book since there weren’t any reviews yet, the hotel just opened. But when l arrived, l was pleasently suprised. The hotel is fantastic and everything loka just köke the photos. The rooms are big, with comfortable beds and seaview. Breakfast was great and dinner was very delicious. They have good cocktails, strong WiFİ, so l could update my socials. The staff is friendly, good service. This place is a true gem for anyone looking for beachfront hotel that’s slightly away from hustle and bustle. Highly recommended!

I want to briefly tell you how great the hotel is. First of all, I will start by saying that the owner is an amazing person who welcomed us as if we were his friends. The beauty, aesthetics, every detail of the hotel has been thought out and done so well. In my opinion, you can have an amazing vacation in the hotel itself, just by not leaving the hotel yard. The outdoor seating area, the rooms, everything is extraordinary. As for breakfast, I can say that I've been to 35 countries and I've never had such a delicious breakfast in such a pretty atmosphere. Also, one evening, it was the owner's brother's birthday and we were invited, it was a very memorable evening. Thank you for everything! It is a very good hotel in terms of location and everything. 100% recommendation from us.

The location and beach are breathtaking, and the option to enjoy services at the beach beds is a great touch. 2. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. 3. There are plenty of activities to choose from, making the stay fun and engaging. 4. We stayed in two suites, both of which were fantastic—well-equipped and very comfortable. 5. The entire property felt safe, which added to our peace of mind. 6. Even the shisha team was friendly and added to the relaxed vibe.

The views were so nice not the sunset were beautiful on the jetty bar. The dinner with entertainment was a bonus touch always looked forward to dinner at the resort. Daily breakfast with fresh omelette made right in front of you was a bonus touch , I had it daily. All staff were super friendly wherever you met them it made being on the resort welcoming, special shout out to Happiness she made a mark and I definitely remember how helpful she was. I loved the room touches and cleanliness, such a gorgeous room.

We spent our honeymoon I this hotel and everything was outstanding. Clean rooms and facilities, very friendly staff who are adaptive and flexible to meet all your needs. Food was great, option to eat at the beach. The place offered various activities during the day/evening so you can't get bored. Tried the SPA (couple program) which was good value for money. This is by far the best resort in Zanzibar, everything was beyond our expectations. The beach and the views are absolutely incredible, very rich breakfast, extremely delicious food, very clean and luxurious villa and everything is TOP!!! It was a lovely place, located on quiet beach. With just 12 rooms, its perfect for a quiet getaway. The aesthetics are very nice, coming from an Italian owner. The food was superb, especially for Vegetarians, which can be a little difficult to find in Zanzibar, but to top it all, their craft beer was out of the world. Didn't expect such amazing craft beer.

I paid cash on arrival for 11 nights.The hut was very hot and I wanted to leave the next day, but he would not refund me. I contacted booking.com 2 times, but never heard from them, so I was stuck there. The owner is a preacher and has a congregation just behind the huts, so there is a lot of noice many mornings and evenings and in between someone is practising the piano and he is not good.

Kiwengwa is an amazing place , only annoying this is the amount of African people that hassle you on the beach - men dressed as masi that are not from the the masi Maru tribe ( pretending they are ) and annoying you when you trying to enjoy a peaceful walk it is over bearing and no one wants that on their holiday - was most beaches in Zanzibar !!

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to Nungwi, especially the south part. Even in low tide it was easy to take a swim. Also the beach here is wider and feel less crowded. As on the complete stretch there were many people trying to sell you stuff but on the south part not so many ”permanent” sales people other than the ones having sheds. The Maasai roaming around are friendly but just say no with a smile and most will not be persistent in their effort to sell you something..

Matemwe is a perfect destination for anyone who wants peace and quiet, but still has access to great activities. You can easily arrange dolphin watching and swimming tours – look for Captain Lucho, he helped us with everything and made the experience amazing. A beautiful and relaxing place to stay!

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in...

I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you
