The Sand Beach Boutique Hotel is, without a doubt, the best hotel on the east coast of Zanzibar! New hotel built with great taste and with attention to detail. My family and I stayed at this hotel for 11 days in a villa with a private pool. The villas are spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, perfect for families and with the advantage of having a private pool! All the hotel staff are impeccable, from the owner to all the employees, as well as the food is always fresh and prepared with dedication. My son had his birthday and he was entitled to a small cake and they sang happy birthday to him, I know he will never forget it. Thank you very much, we loved our stay!

In a quiet tranquil part of Jambiani, great for relaxing. Room is spacious, bed comfortable, black out curtains. Basic but clean bathroom. Large balcony, shaded with furniture. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Beach is clean and safe with no hassle. Swimming possible at high tide in morning and afternoon. Breakfast is very plentiful and the dining area very pleasant with cooling sea breeze. We had a very enjoyable stay and wish it could have been longer.

Review of Amani Paje Hotel We really enjoyed our stay at Amani Paje Hotel. One great point is that the check-in time is at 12:00, so we could arrive early and enjoy the beach right away. The room was excellent – clean, organized, and spacious. There were plenty of power sockets on the walls, and a kettle to heat water for coffee or tea. The bathroom was very clean and smelled fresh, with hot water in the shower. The bed sheets were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of fruits, coffee, juice, pancakes, cakes, muffins, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs. The staff was fantastic – the Italian manager communicated very well and she explained everything in detail, and the rest of the team was friendly and supportive. I truly recommend Amani Paje Hotel. Thank you!

Service was exceptional at breakfast which is included ..loved my room which was clean and on the beach. I was welcomed with a beautiful flower arrangement 💐 on my bed and throughout the room..room also had a mosquito net which I appreciated. Most friendly and helpful receptionist Elly and Oana not sure of this is the right spelling , great first impressions. They ensured my stay was amazing. Thank you guys❣🌷Overall felt safe loved the stunning beach the location of this hotel and its staff.I also enjoyed a few delicious dinners here as well that were very flavourful and delicious.     I loved everything about this property. Starting from the staff, who were absolutely amazing to the food served in the restaurant. The atmosphere was very relaxing and even though you are literally at the beach, you still feel secluded being surrounded by all the beautiful palm trees. The pool was just perfect and though I am 100% beach person, I still found myself in the pool a few times a day :) Loved my room overlooking the pool and all the details that have been so carefully considered to make one's stay as comfortable as possible.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff ,he made my trip more interesting with his advices & tips about the city ,supermarket ,shops,restaurants bars are within walking distance.     Our kids had the time of their lives and the adults also had the best time. The restaurant is amazing, the breakfasts are epic, the rooms are modern and beautifully designed with comfy beds. The pool is uber clean and massive. The beach is the best and the onsite kite surfing school is amazing. Simon does a great job running the joint and we can’t wait to return to paradise.

There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.

    I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you

    This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

    This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

    Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

    This place is a gem!

    This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The connection to the hospitality school is inspiring—it's not just a great stay, it’s also supporting something meaningful.. It’s rare to find a place that feels this good in every way.     Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach.

    Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach. We stayed there for 4 days and enjoyed it The staff was very helpful and supportive. The rooms are nice and clean. And Jambiani is a nice and quiet place to stay. Next time I would go there again.

    Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...

    Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.

    Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.
