Everything about the stay was perfect and exactly what we needed after a safari and hike. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and professional. The rooms were spotlessly clean, spacious, great facilities and very comfortable beds. Great mosquito nets and air con. We stayed at Kaskazini for a couple nights and Katikati for the rest of our stay so we got a good view of their different properties. The pools at Kaskazini and Katikati are similar with Kaskazini getting a little better sunlight in the afternoons and slightly more protected from the afternoon winds. They are a 5 minute walk apart from one another along the beach with a taxi service if you need it. The food at Katikati (La Shira restaurant) is excellent with a mix of local and foreign food. Room service can be delivered to you regardless of the property. The weekly bbq and live music was incredible... I'm still thinking about it days later. We had a late flight so the team let us use the pool area throughout the day and we were taken to their 3rd property to use a shower before we left. The staff can arrange everything from ferry and airport shuttles, to day trips and evenings to Stone Town. We were also given the freedom to explore ourselves and never felt like we were being sold to. Everything was to a very high standard but it was the friendly attitude of the staff that was the icing on the cake! Football on the beach in the evening, wine on arrival in our room.... everything was perfect. Thank you!

From the very beginning, I was greeted with such genuine warmth and kindness that I immediately felt welcome and at ease. Every detail of my stay was handled with incredible care, creating a memorable experience that far exceeded my expectations.
I was assigned a personal butler (Katherine), whose dedication and attentiveness were second to none. She anticipated every need and ensured that I was always comfortable and well looked after. Truly exemplary and kind service!
The room was flawless—spacious, elegant, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed with a perfect mix of luxury and regional character. Every aspect, from the soft linens to the carefully chosen lighting, contributed to a serene and luxurious atmosphere.
The natural setting was nothing short of spectacular. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, I found myself in awe of the landscape. At night, the African sky lit up with stars, creating a sense of peace and wonder that made me feel deeply grounded.
I will absolutely return. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a transformative experience I’ll carry with me forever.

Absolutely loved my stay here! Facilities were amazing - massive pool and lots of deck chairs around the pool or at the private beach. Staff were so friendly and remembered my name whenever they saw me - it’s the little things! Rooms were amazing and spacious. Loved my balcony for morning chill time. Great central location. This resort is a great respite from people trying to sell you things on the beach or constantly trying to talk to you when you’re tanning (as a solo female traveller, this can get so tiresome.) definitely worth the splurge to stay here and feel so relaxed and soak up the sun. My flight was quite late at night and they let me store my belongings, use the resort and shower before it was time to go also :)

It was my birthday and I was surprised with a cake and staff sang for me including the live band during dinner.Very thoughtful and nice of them. By the time I retired to my room,another surprise was waiting. They made up the bedroom beautifully with flowers and candles and wrote a happy birthday with my name. The manager Rakeesh ( I hope I spelt his name correctly) was also very nice and arranged some entertainment at The Pavilion Restaurant .
Upon checkout,we had missed breakfast and Benjamin was kind enough to offer us pizza.
Thank you to all the staff at The Residence. You made my stay beautiful.
Also the privacy of having your own pool was really nice.

It was not our first time at Zanzibar Dream Lodge, but first time booked via this website. We love a laid-back atmosphere there, good vibes, very friendly staff. The owner - Kassim is an awesome person, always willing to help and doing his best to fulfill his guests all needs. Zanzibar Dream Lodge restaurant serves a very delicious food, including fresh seafood and flavourful fruits. A nice beach is just few steps away and you can use sunbeds and umbrellas free of charge. If you are looking for a genuine place, where you can charge your batteries with positive energy, it is a perfect place to do so!

Everyone was super helpful and treated us very well.
We were welcomed very Well by MR Said from guest relations.
We felt heard and listened to and felt the staff cared about our experience.
They have these stairs at the jetty which highlighted our whole trip there coz it was just so easy to sit by the ocean and chill without being scared .
The photos do no justice to this place . It’s above and beyond anything we have been to and we have been to some big 5stars in Zanzibar

Everything was beautiful. Location on the bech, jetti bar above the water, super eqsy and chill restaurant with amazing food. The rooms are clean , the swimming pool is also excellent. Staff is super nice. I had an issues with the monkeys visiting our terasse, i was afraid of them...honestly, i was the annoying tourist who have issues wuth the animals living there :-)) but the staff was just simply nice with us

I came here after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, my main goal was to sleep, swim and relax after the hike. Overall, perfect place if you are looking for a little hideaway. Lovely sea view from my room. A number of hamocks, couches and sunbeds along the sea front to chose from to chill and sleep.

The only downside is that the beach is in the shade by 16:30 and very high and low tides makes taking a dip complicated !

We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The connection to the hospitality school is inspiring—it's not just a great stay, it’s also supporting something meaningful.. It’s rare to find a place that feels this good in every way. It was a great stay for me and my family. The best part of this hotel is the entire staff. Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome.The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King...
If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King George or similar hotels - this is not your place. But if you are looking for clean beaches, clear sea, delicious food, peace, close contact with nature, friendly and courteous staff - this is it.
There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice.
Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open.
We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company.
Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email.
The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule.
The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent.
Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...
Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
