The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and often anticipated our needs before we even asked. The food was delicious, our villa modern, spacious and spotlessly clean, and the overall service top-notch. One of the highlights was the Swahili night, featuring fantastic local dishes and an unforgettable acrobat performance. We also treated ourselves to a relaxing massage during our stay— just what we needed after our safari adventures. Although not beachfront, the resort is just a short walk through Jambiani village to the sea, or you can take a shuttle to one of their partner beachfront properties, which are equally well-designed and welcoming. That said, we actually preferred the peaceful charm of the Oasis itself. We’d come back in a heartbeat—and in fact, we’re already planning our return in 2026!

The hotel is brand new, exceptionally clean and modern. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, very well sound proofed. the room was serviced twice a day. the pool area is fantastic and relaxing, you can order snacks directly at the pool. Breakfast was superb! Staff are helpful and friendly.

Everything! We are very happy with our stay here. This hotel has an amazing view! They are situated on a private little cove. It's so quiet here, it feels like you have the resort all to ourselves. A special shout out to Clyde and family and the staff at Mahi Mahi for taking such good care of us. The room is new and clean, bed is comfy and wifi works well. They clean the room daily which is really nice. The food in the restaurant is really good. You really don't need to go anywhere else. We love watching the tide changes every morning after breakfast and walking the sea bed (must do). You won't get this anywhere else. The sea recedes up to at least 2km. We booked a Dhow cruise from the front desk and it was MAGICAL! When you are on the Dhow sailing the ocean is when you truly appreciate the beauty of Zanzinbar! It's spectacular. It's also easy to walk the beach to nearby resorts and restaurant. Couple of nice bars and restaurants within a 10mins walk. Easy and nice to explore Jambiani. We would totally recommend this hotel.

First of all i need to thank Ana for the wonderful hospitality and making our stay in Amani a best one. Amani is superb place to stay 👌 👏. I would recommend this place anytime to anyone. This place is more like home 🏡. Ana you are the best and god bess you abundantly. We had great stay, peaceful sleep and no mosquitoes at all. The hotel was so Ply lovely and amazing. I was so happy that we chose this accommodation. The rooms are beautiful very nice decorated and well thought. The views are amazing and it was a very quite and peaceful place since there are only 13 rooms or something. The pool is huge and the beach setting wonderful. The service was extremely good. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and well trained. The food definitely great as well. The manager , a very friendly Italian person is always around and gives everyone a good feeling, very familiar atmosphere. We loved it and would recommended it warmly !

The vegan and vegetarian food is amazing, the rooms are perfect, the staff is super kind and the beautiful restaurant feels natural and trendy. I love their breakfastdeal for guests in the hotel: 10 dollar for a dish by choice + a juice/smoothie + a hot drink + a fruit platter. I did not stay at the hotel for chilling and a swimming pool, so I did not miss this.

Really nice and calm place. The whole staff is really nice and the place is so peaceful with a nice garden and nice pool. Perfect to relax. The accomodation was amazing. Beautiful views, peaceful location right on the beach, great food. Our villa was well maintained and cleaned, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Big 'thank you' for our hostess Aliya, who was helpful with every request and question we had and made our stay as delightful as possible. Definitely recommend.

The beach is beautiful and the water very warm.

The beach is beautiful and the water very warm. Because of the strong tides there's only water in the morning and the afternoon but it makes the beach very interesting and beautiful and gives the oportunity to walk far out and find seashells and starfish. The only downside to the beach is the many very insisting sellers who make it impossible to go for a walk without being approached.

A peaceful and welcoming town with a strong sense of community and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you

Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

This place is a gem!

This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The connection to the hospitality school is inspiring—it's not just a great stay, it’s also supporting something meaningful.. It’s rare to find a place that feels this good in every way. Paje, beautiful place and beach, plenty of restaurants both on the beach and on the road. The only downside is that the beach is in the shade by 16:30 and very high and low tides makes taking a dip complicated !

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King...

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King George or similar hotels - this is not your place. But if you are looking for clean beaches, clear sea, delicious food, peace, close contact with nature, friendly and courteous staff - this is it. There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats...

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
