Everything we got family room in front of the pool not so far from fisherman and good position as well to take the boat either on one side to Ang thong national park and on the other to go to Koh phangan ; big Buddha temple is a s well not so far. Perfect team as well providing a lot of information thank you for everything and good luck for the future. Weather was a well excellent in February : sunny warm but not too much : excellent!

located in a fisherman village, great spot. The bed was so comfy. It is a large room, very new and a lot of space. The area and room was clean. The service was great and wifi was excellent. The price is a good value. Just walking distance to Coco Tam's and in the middle of shopping area. The cafe was amazing, must try bakery!!! But no parking area.

This has been my most genuine experience in all of Thailand. You do not feel like a customer, but a family member! The location is breathtaking. You are camping on beautiful mountain with all the luxuries of modern life: clean water, comfy beds, fans in your room with fresh water from the mountain to cool off and let's not forget the amazing food that is served by the loving family. Two things to keep in mind, if you are not too confident on your two feet, then this property will test you as there are many steps going up and down. Also, this is not the place to take your first scooter drive in Thailand, but if you have experience then it will be fun. A lot going on around the Safe Zone, so be sure to rent scooter directly from the family and enjoy. So stop reading and start booking!

Without a doubt the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Location was great everywhere easy accessible. Facilities were amazing. The room matches the pictures on booking.com (beautiful), we were very happy with the quality of the room. They offer beach towels in the room and at the pool, they provide a clean toilet area here also. At the restaurant the breakfast was amazing with enough choice, we had this included in our stay, when we were at the pool the restaurant offered a nice menu with drinks/snacks. The restaurant service was perfect, Lek and Min really made a difference to our stay. When we asked last minute for a late check out, it was not a problem. They offered free Kayak/paddleboard which we used, this was a very nice touch. We thought the price was very good for the quality of our stay here.

This has been the most incredible stay I have ever experienced. Soooo luxurious! I did not even dream about. First of all, the staff is super super kind. The restaurant Manager and restaurant service was doing so many nice things to make us happy. The food was delicious, many options to choose from. The villa was stunning, so clean! Cleaning was twice a day, in the evening we were served with a tea. The hotel took care also of mosquitoes every evening. Thank you so much to all of you! We were crying when we were leaving. We feel truly pampered by your service.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely wonderful. When I wasn’t feeling well and even collapsed, they all took care of me with such kindness and attention. I’ve actually been staying here to focus on writing my manuscript, so I spent most of my time holed up in my room. Fantastic wide pool and pool deck. Resort perfectly located very very close to night market and biggest shopping center. This resort is re-opening or re-starting and has fantastic potential. We have really enjoyed our spontaneous 2 nights stay and would have stayed longer if our holiday would have been longer. Recommended!

We had an extraordinary stay at Villa Samayra - truly the No.1 luxury villa experience in Koh Samui. We came here to have a relaxing week during National Week in...

We came here to have a relaxing week during National Week in October. My husband and daughter had some of the best scuba diving experiences and they would definitely love to go back and do more dives (yet there are so many other places to go and see....). We stayed in the southeast for the first part of the trip, and found that to be a bit secluded - great resort, but a little too isolated and cut off for us overall. The second half we stayed in Sairee Beach area and it was amazing! So much going on and great restaurants and sunset views at your fingertips. We had wanted to rent scooters to explore the island more, but after seeing the condition of the roads (very steep and sharp turns), and so many people with "Thailand tattoos" from road rash, we decided against it, so we didn't get to see as much as we'd hoped. Maybe next time....

Khao Sok National Park is absolutely stunning – with lush jungle, breathtaking scenery, and plenty to do from hiking and canoeing to wildlife spotting and night safaris. An unforgettable experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers. We ate at the lake in beautiful restaurant simple food and then we took canoe ride around.

Easily accessible, used Grab, taxi service to get around, reliable. Walked along the beach but you can only go so far as you then have to walk through the water which is waist deep. You can walk along the road. Nice restaurant called The Cliff if you want to treat yourself. Did 3 trips, the first was the island tour which visits temples, look out and waterfall. Second tour was to the elephant Haven, this was amazing, very sad when you hear the stories of how the elephants ended up there after being rescued. They do a great job. Third trip was to Pig Island and snorkeling. Pig Island was 1 hour which I thought was a bit too long, maybe just half an hour should be allocated. Snorkelling was great and the lunch which was included was beautiful.

We went to visit a friend who recently moved there. It is not really a tourist town. We went to the Mangrove Forest and it was run down and unimpressive. The Saturday Market was underwhelming. The highlight was the view from "the hill". Surat Thani is what it is... a large city that gives you access to Koh Samui and a city for locals.

We stayed over on Ban Tai, which was quieter with a beautiful sandy beach, almost no one around. I got a massage by the water with only the sound of the crashing waves which was the highlight on my trip. Great for families and good food all around.

Haad Rin is a beautiful beach with plenty of bars and restaurants lining the shore and lots of shops, restaurants around the strip. During Full Moon week, the atmosphere gets wild—every venue competes with fire shows and loud music, creating a chaotic but energetic vibe. I imagine the off-season must be much more relaxing, though I haven’t experienced it myself. Personally, I found the Full Moon Party a bit disappointing, though that might be due to my expectations. I'm 40+, and I was hoping for a more organized event with better music and a diverse crowd—people of all ages from different parts of the world. Instead, it felt more like a chaotic gathering of mostly very young partygoers (early 20s), primarily from England, Germany, and Denmark, whose main focus seemed to be drinking and drugs. In November 2025, the original party was canceled due to the passing of the King’s mother, so I can’t speak to the usual experience.

Plenty of good restaurants around especially the Happy...

Plenty of good restaurants around especially the Happy Elephant, as we were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary there, they treated us to a little surprise which was appreciated, the food and sea views were excellent. Bophut is a lovely place to stay especially with couples and family.

I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location.

I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

The night life - bars, cafés, markets, and I enjoyed getting a massage after all the walking around. There are many massage parlors and massages are so affordable here. Also, the service at the massage parlors is very good.
