It‘s really a little gem! I loved everything, seated in the middle of a stunning quiet garden, well designed shacks, with everything you need (e.g fridge and kettle) and a cozy bed. Amazing view on my shack terace (the smallest one). Sitting there with a coffee in the morning and watch the rain and the birds was perfect for me. My spacious bathroom had a view too ;-) They are have having an eye for even small things, which make the difference, for example the room has an excelent quiet air con, but also a fan. And every morning there was a little bereakfastsurprise with thai sweets on my porch. But not just the cherry on the top are the people there. Tee and Marc and all the others are the engine of this place. They are fun to chat and so warmly. You can rent a scooter (you need one or you use grab) and they provide you with lots of things to explore. And you have to try Tee’s Restaurant just a few steps down. So delicious. Thank you again! If I can, I definitely will com back.

I liked everything. With booking the eco bungalow I was aware it was very basic but still, it had all I needed: a comfy bed with mosquito net, a private bathroom, good internet, a small porch and private scooter parking. Every two days my bungalow would be cleaned, including the bedding and bottles of drinking water we’re provided. The room has a fan and a kettle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was also very clean and inviting and had a big variety of dishes with even vegan options.

A charming accomodation in the middle of the forest. The hosts are incredibly kind and we highly recommend having dinner with them. If you would like to rent a scooter, do it through them as well. The rooms are good and clean with all necessary amenities and the pool is very nice.

we loved our staying at this hotel the hospitality was really nice all the staff were helpfull. cleaning was done for the rooms everyday they give a complementary sweets also daily which was cute. although you need 15min to walk from the hotel to the near beach, still you can use the taxi or motorcycle to reach there fastlu fast we didn't try the breakfast but we took a look for it and it's looks nice we would come here again if we visit kraby for sure

Baan Thara Guest House is a Krabi hidden gem. The staff are amazing and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and welcome. They will give you advice about places to go, and help you get cheaper deals on tours, bookings, and all sorts. WIFI is free, breakfast is included and coffee is available 24/7. But what we truly loved about Baan Thara, was how genuinely kind they are. They truly wanted us to have the best time and did whatever they could to make sure of it. We were traveling as a family with a small toddler and the way they treated him was amazing, we couldn't have felt more comfortable. Baan Thara Guest House is also located closer to Nopparat Thara Beach than to Ao Nang. Nopparat Thara includes the Ao Nang night markets, a ton of separate shop fronts, the Muay Thai boxing arena, lots of cannabis if that's what you are looking for, and in our opinion, a better-looking and more enjoyable beach. There are only boats up one end of the beach, and on the other end is a beautiful little cove where people snorkel and you can watch the boats come in and out from the pier. It's also way less crowded and there aren't tourists drinking. All the locals come down for dinner (which was a sign for us) and sit by Nopparat Thara and watch the incredible sunsets and most stay quite late. The beach is only a short walk from Baan Thara which is especially good if you are working with a small budget and don't have transportation (scooter or taxis). We absolutely loved our stay with Baan Thara Guest House and would highly recommend anyone who is planning to stay in the Ao Nang area to also stay here, we will absolutely be booking here again when we travel back to Krabi.     We stayed at Koh Jum Resort for five nights as part of our family trip to Thailand. Here is a summary of our experience: - Very quiet and relaxing location. The island itself is much quieter with much less tourists than Koh Phi Phi and Railay Beach. - Food at the resort was good and we ate most meals on site. The beach bbq at night was a great. - Staff were extremely nice and helpful - the resort is geographically well situated to enjoy an Koh phi phi island tour and or go to Railay Beach. - perfect for kids to play on the beach, hunt for shells, chase crabs and watch the monkeys. If you are looking for relaxation away from the hustle of other tourist spots, this is a great spot.

    We spent an amazing vacation at Railay Beach. Everything was perfect: bungalow, transfer service, hotel staff. The Thai massage was also great. The territory was awesome, it was really nice to walk through - to enjoy beautiful trees and flowers and birds singing. You can also find a supermarket and an ATM nearby which is really handy. Nearby beaches, especially Phra Nang, are really spectacular. The transfer service was very good, we had an early check out and the hotel staff provided us with breakfast "to go" which was really a good surprise.

    The location! Tubkaek is the best i have been to and very private. A place for guests to holiday rather than a tourist hot spot. My third time in tubkaek and out of the other resorts I like this one the most. The two pools were big, lots of sun loungers at the pools, and beach front. Breakfast was ok. I liked the food at the restaurant for dinner. We did not leave the resort once but I think this would be the main purpose of staying here- just to relax.

The spa provided a place to shower and change before we left after checking out. The main restaurant had an excellent and comprehensive breakfast buffet and great meal service for lunch and dinner. The Italian restaurant on property was equally impressive.

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the...

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the islands do not recommend you go this time of the year. As three single travellers there were very few bars, lots of restaurants that sold alcohol but no bars you could sit at and have a chat only found four and three of those were a good 30min walk from the centre. Ao Nang seems to have changed a lot over the years and has lost a lot of it's character as it is now catering more for families, which is not a all bad if that is what you are looking for but comparing it with Hua Hin, or Koh Samui, it just doesn't.

    Visited in low season weather wasn’t great but that is to be expected. Beaches not good for swimming and littered with rubbish. The vast majority of restaurants and resorts were closed. This island has a very different vibe in the busy season.

    It's a pretty rustic, typical old Thai town, the locals are lovely, peaceful people Krabi Airport :-Be sure to have some baht notes if you're taking a driver or taxi to your hotel- there are ATMs at Krabi airport but easier if you have cash The Friday & Saturday food markets are great for Thai foods of all sorts Take a long boat ride from along the riverside - a couple of hours touring the river and surrounds for 50 - 100 AUD Riverside Restaurant and Bar us a good place for dinner Blu Monkey is great little hotel

    It is useful to note that there are multiple long boats and piers to access Railay. The safest route is to the east beach from Ao Nammao pier where you can safely park a hire car for a reasonable cost. If you don’t have your own transport, there are various options such as taxis. I ripped a pair of shorts at another pier which is not a great setup.

    It was a great time - I was there for the Oceanman event so there were a lot of people around for the time and I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was jellyfish season, so it was not the best time for swimming in the ocean. But it was still a beautiful area.

    I’m completely biased.

    I’m completely biased. I loved everything and everyone involved in the place. No favourite thing. Many favourite things. Jungle, sea, boats cars tuk tuk and all. Most importantly I had the best guided tours on offer. Thank you. One and all. Appreciated and greatful ❤️

    A quiet area, quite remote with no shops (that I saw) but this added to the tranquility of the area. About 50 minutes from the airport, but worth the trip. We could have eaten at other hotels but were happy with the choices at our resort.

    All restaurants and activities were near by or a short ride with a scooter. KoDam restaurant serves great Thai dishes and the same restaurant by the sea has a great view with the same prices as the one in Ao Nang.
