Perfect stay, everything just as advertised. Nice and comfortable room, great views, enough sun beds at the pool and quiet beach. Very good restaurant. We took cooking classes, massages, room service and trips - everything excellent. You can order all of that via hotel app, very convenient.

Palm Trees and Pristine Seas

One of Thailand’s most famous islands, Koh Samui (or Ko Samui) is a tropical paradise whose palm trees emerge from the pristine white sands at unbelievable angles, and whose offshore reefs make for great diving.

The most developed resort is Chaweng, though most bars and clubs are set back from the beautiful beach, so the views are still wonderful. Slightly less lively is Lamai, though its beach is no less impressive. Both of these resorts are home to a large number of Koh Samui hotels with private pools, a popular requirement of many visitors, despite the wonderfully warm waters.

Lipa Noi in the west faces Thailand’s east coast and has some beautiful sunsets, while the northern fishing village of Bo Phut is gaining in popularity. Nearby Mae Nam and Cheong Mon both have sweeping beaches that gently shelve into the sea, making them popular family choices.

Travellers don't go tot Koh Samui for its sights – but interesting attractions include the Big Buddha at Bangrak’s Wat Phra Yai temple, and the Wat Khunaram Ko Samui temple inland from Hua Thanon.

    Amazing property right on a private beach, the villas are with excellent amenities, really spacious, huge bathroom. Staff goes out of their way, despite some wrongdoings of the beach bar waiters their manager offered compensation and such was offered on another occasion. Thus mistakes occur but much unlike EU hotels discount or compensation is immediately available. Fantastic property with some mediocre guest service from time to time but always happy to help and sort out the trouble. Lovely dinners at the beach and some amazing shows with fireworks and fire show. The beach feels private and is very well kept with a dedicated space and loungers assigned tof each villa which is what should be done at each decent property but is exemption (loved the comfort) plus meal and drink service catered right to you while you're resting and enjoying the beautiful landscape. Special thanks to Lilly -she simply made our stay memorable and never spared an effort to deliver best service, that young lady is a real gem.

    The property and facilities were amazing! We had our own little detached villa and it felt like a home away from home! The place was spotless and well maintained. We were greeted by the most welcoming staff. Once checked in we were whisked from reception to our villa on a golf cart! The villas were well spaced out and never felt like we were on top of another. We were a couple minutes from everything; reception, pool, beach, breakfast. The food and drinks were well priced for a hotel too! The pad krapow from the pool bar menu was great! The views you get from the pool bar is just stunning too! We are already looking to come back and stay for longer next time! Would highly recommend this to anyone!

    This has been the most incredible stay I have ever experienced. Soooo luxurious! I did not even dream about. First of all, the staff is super super kind. The restaurant Manager and restaurant service was doing so many nice things to make us happy. The food was delicious, many options to choose from. The villa was stunning, so clean! Cleaning was twice a day, in the evening we were served with a tea. The hotel took care also of mosquitoes every evening. Thank you so much to all of you! We were crying when we were leaving. We feel truly pampered by your service.

    The hotel has a private beach which was so fantastic. Very nice beach with a wonderful pool with beach chairs and a sun umbrella. Very quiet because there are no other resorts or any other public access. Breakfast was delicious, with many different types of dishes to choose from. The villas are private, comfortable, and have fantastic air conditioning. The bathroom was spacious and cozy. Enjoyed every bit of the Centara Villas. Stuff was always so helpful with everything and very friendly.

We had some snacks and our microwave was broken and within 15 minutes they brought in a new one to replace ours.     Chaweng is a beautiful destination for a chill out holiday The Jungle Tour is definitely worth doing & don't be afraid to barter the price Lots of eateries with great selection of food to choose from Fishermans Market is very pretty at night & there are bargains to be had If you hire a car or scooter - by careful if you like to dabble in the Green because the Police will pull you over & you will get a hefty fine - not worth it - grab a taxi or the local rides (which are cheap)

    It is worthwhile taking the half-day island tour because there is so much to see. The Lamai night market is worth a visit. The food is cheap but really tasty. They also have specials on drinks.     Love the coastal areas & the variety of beaches in Mae Nam as well as the differing local food cultures. I especially liked the relaxed beach at Baan Fah Resort where the water was deep enough to swim just a short distance from the shore - a truly great beach. The best coffee house in Samui has to be Hachiya Coffee Roastery. And I highly recommend G- Bike Rentals.

    The Fisherman's Village was fantastic.

    The Fisherman's Village was fantastic. No car or scooter access at night made for lovely walks along the street, seeing the markets and bars and restaurants in relative peace. Plus none of the typical sleazy Thai bars/clubs.

    Beautiful smallish beach Nice to Walk to the end and to the cape fahn on separate private island - we went in the water was pretty clean little murky but probably was just the day and the fact that there are so many hotels on the island

    There are only two bungalows facing the beach and they are AMAZING!! We did not want to leave our hotel. Some of the other rooms looked nice too but faced the garden walkway. One bungalow faced a concrete wall. You get what you pay for. Loved this place so much.

    This is a great tourist destination.

    This is a great tourist destination. Glad we went during the low-season as it made for small, tolerable crowds. Plenty of activities and sights to do and see - we only brushed the surface with our short time there. Go for at least one week. Two would be better. The surrounding Gulf of Thailand offered lake-like calm, turquoise waters. Views everywhere are stunning. We Weill have to return again in the future. Highly recommend, especially the low-season.

    Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning. That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. Still, for a calm beach day with amazing views, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

    I traveled around the island in taxis.

    I traveled around the island in taxis. That was really the only way to get around if you did not rent a bike or car. Many attractions to see such as waterfalls, temples, walking street for shopping, elephant sanctuary, big budda & Nathon pier. On my return I will take a ferry to a neighboring island.This would be easy from Nathon pier.

    Loved our room! It was very spacious,clean & comfortable. The bed and pillows met our expectations. The pool was huge! Great for children or grown ups. A very ambient,quiet resort set on the beach front. The beach chairs are very comfortable and the best place to chill with a book or take in the amazing views. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is very peaceful and we ordered a taxi or grab to go to dinner in the evening. We had drinks at the Hotel pub one evening. Overall a great stay & value for the rates. The breakfast was sufficient …eggs and fresh fruit/toast/pastries. Handy if you have a motor bike to get around the Island as grab is expensive. .
