I had a fantastic stay at the Boutique hotel owned by Alex. Despite being in a wheelchair, Alex's courage and determination shine through. Carine's friendliness and assistance with boat transfers and taxis were invaluable. Susan, a lovely Thai lady, added to the charm. With only 5-6 rooms, the hotel feels like a secluded paradise reminiscent of Melrose Place, ensuring privacy while still offering opportunities to meet other couples. The hotel, accommodating up to 14 persons, is perfect for private rentals with family and friends. The location, just a 2-minute walk from the beach, is ideal, and the affordable and delicious beachside food adds to the overall experience. I look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommend!

My husband and I went to koh Phangan to experience the full moon party but didn’t want to stay in it so this hotel was perfect as it was a short drive on a Moto from the festivities. Jodi the owner was super helpful in getting us checked in even though it was late. The resort is as beautiful- right on the beach and just quiet enough. The sat pool party was also very fun. Would definitely recommend!

    Stayed 3 nights in this amazing Balinese style resort, we had booked a large sunset villa with a view over the gardens and the sea, the villa had a bath in the middle of the room and a large bed with a fantastic view! We were unfortunately forced to leave the awful Santhiya Resort & Spa on Koh Phangan late in the evening! We had called Kupu Kupu if they still had a villa available and luckily they had it. We were very kindly helped by the reception and they already understood the situation! We were offered a free lunch from Kupu Kupu ourselves for the next day, that was really great service. We really had a great stay here with friendly and helpful staff, especially Andy from the reception arranged things for us such as a rental scooter, provided information about the area (which we also visited) and transport to the Ferry, fantastic! I can highly recommend this resort and we would absolutely book here again. Sincerely, Joy and René

    Spacious and comfortable rooms with everything you need to enjoy your stay! Beautiful swimming pool and amazing staff. The place is few meters from the beach..you can easily go to the beach in your swimsuit if you want..it's on the opposite side of the road..you can see a corridor in front of the resort. Everything you need is just there. Perfect position! The receptionist with a beautiful name Palm, she's so lovely person, she can speak English very well and she's always there for you. So kind and professional! Also the guy who takes care of the swimming pool! He works with dedication! Always there! Never tired! Big smile and also he can speak English! I really loved stay there!

    We loved our stay at Golden Hill! The staff is incredible. They are kind, caring and attentive when we need a service. The hotel restaurant has a magnificent view and delicious dishes (You must try the Gaspacho!!). The hotel swimming pool, located below the restaurant, also boasts a breathtaking view; the perfect place to watch the sunset. The hotel also offers room service and a fast, reliable cab service.     You can't go wrong with this place. Great vibes! The complete package in terms of the room, location, food, and amenities! Our ocean-view bungalow exceeded our expectations - perched about 40 meters over a small rocky strip of the beach, you are treated to a spectacular view of Haad Yao's sheltered bay from a spacious balcony with a cozy hammock as well. The property has a beautiful infinity pool as well, located at a greater height from the bungalows. We ordered a beef burger, Vietnamese Summer rolls, and a steak. All of the food was delicious!

    It’s one amazing property right by the beach, the wooden look of the property is very scenic. The staff there speak good English and are very welcoming. Its located also in Haad Rin where the parties happen and is walking distance from where the main full moon party happens. Thai food served there is good as well. The staff at reception and the tuktuk drivers were very kind and helped us with anything we needed. At the entrance to the resort you have a little village with everything you can think of - food, massage, laundry, taxi etc. Loved our stay and highly recommend!

    Not the nicest part of island.

    Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.

    I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

    Amazing place on the island.

    Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

    Water is very low shallow cannot swimm at all until around 18 PM we didn't like this beach full of rocks in the water not the best beach . Difficult to go further in the sea full of rocks not good for snorkelling

    This crescent shaped beach is probably my favourite on the island. NOT a party beach, no jet skis, no techno bars… it’s perfect It is, however, rather far from Thong Sala pier, and quite isolated, and the road is a treacherous one, but once you’ve checked in you probably won’t want or need to leave.

    Location - it was like a dream.

    Location - it was like a dream. And they had a broom right outside our door so when the inevitable sand was tracked into our room, we could clean it up. We never ate in the restaurant so I can't say how it was, but the other options nearby were excellent. If you're staying longer than 3 nights and want to see more than just the hotel and its surroundings, you'll want to rent a scooter.

    Great location , lovely village great restaurants, not over crowded , family friendly. We ate in many local restaurants , the food was superb and very reasonably . Good variety of shops and supermarkets , we didn't travel outside the resort as didn't need to but plenty of taxis if needed

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan.

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan. Many local and also westernised food places (Ann's and Shish Kebab were our favourites!), shops and of course pristine beaches. Worth hiring a scooter to explore around and enjoy the island vibes.

    I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!
