Fantastic location and beach. The venue, restaurant and bar / beach area was amazing. Plenty of amenities, and the rooms are well sized and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly staff. I believe the manager/owners are always there and also very friendly and helpful. Kitchen menu was modern, delicious and caters to everyone. Had their breakfast options and it was a hit, as well as their wide dinner menu. They also organised us an island hop and arranged everything for snorkeling and a picnic. Will definitely come again !

I lived here with wife and son 5 years old. Exellent stay! The swimming pool is a great alternative to the sea. Close to the beach and shops. We will definetely come back.

Amazing resort, relatively small and only bungalows (no tall building with lots of rooms). Jungle garden was great, very green. Room was clean and very luxurious, lots of light. Bathroom very large with big bath and nice shower. Cleaned perfectly every day. Lovely staff, very friendly ladies at breakfast. Breakfast good and varied. Infinity pool large and clean, near the beach. Enough beach loungers for everyone. Many restaurants along the beach for dinner/drinks. Were able to arrange tour and transfer from reception. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Everything was fantastic from the moment we arrived. Our room was on the beach which was great to look out on when we awoke. It was a treat to walk from our room, V 8, and be in the sea in seconds! The Resoort has the best position in the bay with mountains all around. The sun rises right in front of the room, perfect! The breakfast was also of good quality with a wide variety of Thai dishes which we enjoyed. The resort is quiet as far enough from the main road that no traffic noise can be heard.

At Sylvan we got engaged and the staff here is nothing but world class and our engagement dinner at the beach lacked nothing! They have a perfect mix of Thai staff that goes the extra mile with details not possible to get at home without unlimited budget and the European staff like ”Dima” who has an eagle eye getting to know guests and fixing the extras that is so vital to get that feeling you are special! Thanks Dima and ”your team mates” you are the best!

Super friendly staff and helpful. Great restaurant. Great white and wide sandy beach with hardly anyone, probably 1km long. Also clean swimmingpool. Quiet area but easy to go around on a motorbike you can rent there or 5 minute walk away is another motorbike rent who I used 1 day. My second time there and love it. This is not in the "party area" but stands there on it´s own where you can relax and enjoy the beach and sun.

The perfect paradise resort. The hotel looks even better in reality than in the pictures. A wonderfully designed large swimming pool. There are enough sunbeds at any time and you can always choose whether you prefer to be in the sun or in the shade. Very nice rooms and big balconies. The hotel staff is extremely hospitable and helpful.

The room was heaven, the pool and riverside sitting nooks were paradise and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped me with taxis, tours and my transfer back to bangkok. The look of this place is mesmerising and I would suggest it for not just couples but solo travellers as well.

it was quiet secluded amazing beach amazing views, great staff, and they have cats and kittens who are so friendly and adorable, most are strays not owned by the hotel so we bought some cat food for them and they were the highlight of our stay (missed our own fur baby’s).

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could...

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could cycle to the waterfall and to visit some other beaches. It is not cheap to get around, 6km was 150 each so 300 baht for 2. We stayed at Bailan beach hotel which was nice and small and intimate with a few other restaurants nearby. We walked about 1km north and south of Bailan beach but the roads are not so safe for walking there. Near Centara the roads are wider with a cycle path.

A wonderful stretch of beach, one of the nicest on Koh Chang to be fair. Nice and clean, quiet and peaceful. I stayed a 5 min bike ride away at the reggae place. I ate at the wonderful little shack just on the bend as you reach the beach, a mother and daughter making great som tam, Laab, Nam Tok, iced coffee etc

I've been to kie bae, koh chang many times since 2006 and enjoyed most of the time . This time however I would give it 3 out of 10. Apart from it been too commercialised, it is very dirty. Hope it gets cleaner for the future.

Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday.

Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday. Roads are trecherous to drive, but the views are stunning. Beachfront resort with a nice pool, you have all you need! Some wonderful seafood buffets to uncover and a visit to one of the elephant camps will satisfy your urge to explore.
