Great place to stay . All the girls at the Reception were so lovely , doing every bit to make your stay comfortable and help you with everything. Booked a Scooter through them and it was perfect. The Laundry at the Hotel was one of the best i ever had in Thailand , clean and fresh with lovely smell. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Empress Hotel for a week, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff at this hotel truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests we had. The hotel's proximity to the Chabad House was a huge plus for us, as it made attending services and events there very convenient. The combination of the warm and welcoming staff and the ideal location made our stay at The Empress Hotel perfect for our needs. Overall, I highly recommend The Empress Hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay in the area. This is an oasis of calm in the mountains of Chiang Mai, it's like Japan has been transported to Thailand. The attention to detail, the level of service, incredible food, pampering at the onsen and massage. I went for a solo get away to recharge and loved every minute of it. it's the perfect place also to go with a partner or friend. I was particularly impressed by the decor, my bedroom size with a beautful balcony and swinging chair and last but not least with the restaurant: very high quality good from many different cuisines depending on your mood (so you don't always have to have Japanese food). Be sure to try the garden Onsen: it took me a day or two to discover it. I spent many an hour in the hot springs gazing up into the moon and sky.

I have had such an amazing time at this beautiful resort. Exactly what I needed as a solo traveller with full privacy in nature. The villa has an amazing view of the tropical forest, and there was a spectacular garden around. The room was spacious with all the comforts and very clean. I loved the separate toilet and the style. Great quality matress with a spectacular view of the green outside. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was also amazing, with a-la-chef menu and great choices from local to international. Whatever I ate was super delicious, exceptional quality too. I highly recommend this resort for a wonderful life experience! I will definitely visit this place again.

Beautiful resort in mountain setting. Most of all, great service; everyone was very helpful and kind. Loved the breakfast and food at the "Higher Room." Day of exploring with elephant sanctuary with team Yaya, get it on get your guide booking. Art village, carp cafe, French bistro cafe, unnie nails. Just be careful hiring scooters, have travel insurance before you go. We hired scooters from Happy Days, they never told us we need motorbike permit in chiang mai , within 1hr stopped by police with 500 baht fine followed the police to station to pay. Second day we had motorbike accident with my leg injury , the rental bumped us even it was not our fault according to police we paid damage to their bike and for the other guy. Overall soo much good place to explore, day trips to other cities. Next time I be staying for over 2weeks, people are kind and helpful just speak less English.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!

Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend.

Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend. Watch the sunrise over teh valley, stare into the clear skies and the stars at night. Visit the tribal villages, the fruit orchards (strawberries and oranges) and the flower gardens. Enjoy a tranquil time.

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai.

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air...

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air quality, which is a rare thing in Thailand. With lots of greenery and nature trails, you'll never get bored in this place. Food is also cheap and tasty. The people are nice and always smiling. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nature retreat.

Staying in the old town gives one access to all of the temples and statuary as well as a great many restaurants and, genuine, massage establishments. Grab works well up there so you can hire a car to Doi Suthep or other places close to town or you can join a tour group to places a little further afield such as Doi Inthanon or even Chiang Rai or Pai. If you go in November it will be a little cooler too so loads of walking to be done.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.

The cool & freezing weather.

The cool & freezing weather. Must stay here for atleast one night if you have a trip to Chiang Mai. Experience the beautiful flower farm and walking distance. You will appreciate the morning fresh air & cool cloudy fog if you dont mind walking to the flower farm nearby within 15min walk . For Muslim, even though it is only one restaurant that offer halal food , but the taste was worth the price. Will repeat next time if i travel to Chiang Mai.
