When booking at Anantara, we had high expectations, as one would for a five-star hotel. Thankfully, many aspects of our stay lived up to those expectations, and some even exceeded them. Arrival & Check-In: We were warmly welcomed by the soft-spoken and friendly staff, who offered us a comfortable place to sit and provided cold refreshments while we checked in. This was a wonderful first impression. Jenine, who assisted us, escorted us to our room with professionalism and care. Initial Room Experience: While settling into our room, I noticed a malfunction with the mosquito plug, which suddenly blew up. This incident understandably made me apprehensive about staying in the room. Thankfully, Jenine handled the situation with composure, promptly informing the management and ensuring the room was made unavailable for thorough inspection. She quickly arranged for a new room, making us feel reassured and cared for during what could have been a stressful situation. Service Excellence: The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Jenine went above and beyond, guiding us to restaurants, coordinating laundry requests, and organizing our airport shuttle. A special shoutout goes to Joy and the executive chef, who truly amazed us with their thoughtfulness. For our early morning flight, I requested a simple mango sticky rice and cappuccino as a to-go meal. To my surprise, they prepared four thoughtfully curated breakfast boxes, including my favorite Thai dishes like massaman curry and plain fried rice. This level of care and attention was far beyond what I expected. The crew near the beach also stood out for their approachability and attentiveness to guests’ needs, adding to the overall sense of hospitality. Similarly, the breakfast service team provided exceptional service, with Mint and Chiui standing out for their attentiveness and efficiency. The breakfast buffet itself deserves praise.

Every single thing was great while we were in there. Staff was excellent since the check-in, giving us an upgrade (we made 3 bookings for 3 different days) for day 2, letting us to be in the big room we booked for the 1st day. Besides that, they created a very good environment for the team. Every single one smiles every time, even when they are not facing customers. When we got back for 3rd day we got a welcome back greeting in our bed, so lovely. Breakfast was excellent, with a big variety of food. Installations were impressive, with access to the beach, restaurant at the beach and pool. Rooms were big and with great beach views.

I had a great stay at this hotel. It's in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The food was delicious and offered a good variety. Although it’s a 3-star hotel, I found it to be nicer than many 4-star options I've stayed at. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality, affordable stay.

Simply wonderful. They were very kind and arrange the room for my birthday and even gave me a cake!! So sweet!! Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning. That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. Still, for a calm beach day with amazing views, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

I love it here . Has everything and anything.

I love it here . Has everything and anything. For me I like the beach , the restaurants, the markets and am happy to do that all day at one of the beach front bungalows. But there is plenty of night life if you want it . A lively place, lovely locals, easy to go other places on the island with taxis . The beach is beautiful. Warm water . Food and drinks along the beach .lots to see and do in the town. So many restaurants to choose from . Capybara cafe is so funny had a great time there . The night markets are great

I wouldn't go back.

I wouldn't go back. I was so disappointed by Koh Samui, I thought it was a nice place to go but aside from beautiful beaches and the views from the mountains, its really rough and run down. Chaweng itself is like Magaluf. The strip is awful. But if you like that then you'd probably like it but not being a drinker or a partier I really hated it. We did however eat at some really great restaurants all over Koh Samui

Stayed on the beach and didn't venture in to the town of Chaweng, or the high street, didn't need to. A mix of resorts and hotels on the beach, from 5* to 3*, all offering great locations, food and friendly service. Some were child friendly, and very shallow waters safe for kids or non swimmers. Some hotels were adults only. It's been 10 years since I last visited and it's better than I remembered.

It is beautiful, wonderful, crystal clear, turquoise water. Do NOT let the reviews that say that this beach is "busy, loud, too crowded" deter you from coming. We were here in January-February during peak season and it was perfect! Never too crowded and never too empty. Perfect in my experience, I would come back. I did not prefer nor enjoy Lamai beach (supposed to be better, but I disagree).
