Just generally one of those special places that will stick in my memory forever. A collection of pretty little cabins by the beach surrounded by palm trees with hammocks slung between them for whiling away the days. With only the sounds of birds and waves. Where everyone just hangs out and chats, the staff, the other guests, the extremely interesting and gregarious owner Gregory (no pun intended). I could spend a week here just forgetting about the outside world. The various arrangements (airport transfer, transfer back to town, activities) all went smoothly as well. Which is my no means guaranteed in this part of the world.

Mr. Bongay is a lovely calm host. The location is wonderful between 2 amazing beaches, perfect for sunset. It's a wooden house with basic facilities, electricity and water are mostly available, comfortable bed with mosquito net. Unique opportunity to experience village life first hand.

I've stayed in hotels and apartments in every continent but this apartment beats it all. The service is as good as a five start hotel if not better. It was extremely clean, beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything you can possibly think of. The host and the rest of the staff provided the most wonderful service, they are available at all times for any queries and are very welcoming. The location of the apartment is perfect, right between Lumley beach and river number to beach and lakka beach. About 5mins walk from the apartment, there is a local restaurant called Treat Food, which offers the best local food. I will never stay anywhere else in Freetown anymore.
