The staff were top tier - super friendly and kind and they were always seeking to make our experience better. We really enjoyed the breakfast, the option for a free afternoon tea and cake, dinner was also really yummy. I was quite sceptical at first because of other reviews not putting this hotel in such a good light, but was very pleasantly surprised that our experience was the complete opposite. I’d encourage anyone considering to book a room here to go for the garden option. This is a really peaceful part of the hotel, with access to a pool and the gym, and right by the tortoises, it’s also just very well kept and quaint. I’d like to put an extra emphasis on just how good the staff were, I’ve never experienced such exceptional hosting, from all the receptionists, waiters, kitchen and bar staff, everyone was always on-hand to help.

The decor is outdated in the rooms but we can see pat this and see the charm of this beautiful little hotel. We ate at the hotel restaurant each night and the food was exceptional! Best we’ve had in all the 11 days we stayed in the Seychelles. This is a must stay in Praslin!

We had the perfect stay at Villas D'Or.
If you are looking for privacy in a beachfront property which is close to the village, this is the place for you.
Each villa is spacious, extremely clean and the kitchen has everything you need to make a meal. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The garden is extremely well looked after by the staff and lots of beautiful birds came to visit in the morning which made my daughter so happy. The beach is steps away from each villa and you can easily walk to the village on low tide via the beach (about 15mins).In general if you want to explore the rest of the island I recommend hiring a car. The sea was affected by the northern wind during our stay so it was quite choppy but I am sure it is very pleasant when the wind calms down. It is impressive how nicely the property is camouflaged behind the bushes and therefore you can barely see the villas when you are at the seaside, very respectful of the environment and very harmonious. The village has super markets and restaurants (including local take aways). Mr Pierre is a wonderful person, he is always available to help with organising car rentals, taxis or excursions. He is contactable by WhatsApp and generally very accessible. Mrs Georgette has also been extremely kind and so have the rest of the staff. I wholeheartedly recommend and will definitely come back.

It is very difficult to describe this beautiful place in words and do it justice. With beautiful location and gorgeous exterior, the property is enormous and one could walk around for hours just exploring the nature and many cosy garden corners around the golf fields.
Anse Kerlan beach might not be for swimming, but it's a perfect visual and sound ambience because all the rooms are looking right at it. The waves offer natural sound isolation and from your room and balcony you heartotal quietness with just the waves crashing sound. Petit Anse Kerlan is perfect for quick visit to the beach as it is very close to rooms, also with food and drink options, lounges and toilet available there. And if you want a bit more wild but most beautiful beach on Seychelles, you have Anse Georgette just 15 min walk from your room.
The service is amazing and probably the best we have ever seen - very professional and attentive to all of our needs, yet always friendly, they are one of the reasons this place has every right to be called a paradise. The general atmosphere is friendly and causal (not uptight, which made us feel truly relaxed). Food experience is absolutely remarkable: breakfast has so many delicious choices and dinner buffets in Legend restaurant are top notch and desserts amazing.

Apartment is cozy and big, especially for two people. The furniture is older, but we knew that when we booked from seeing the pictures, so we knew what to expect. The owner is a really nice and friendly lady. The neighbours offer a daytrip to Curieuse island with a discount and you start your trip right in front of the house, which is perfect and the trip was really great. The bus station is also 50meters away, which is great for exploring the island. Everything else you need (supermarket, restaurants) is in a walking distance.

The hotel is located right next to the bus stop and there are souvenir shops, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The entire staff is very nice and helpful. Big thanks especially to Bilal and Mandjit, who took care of us the whole stay perfectly. We were celebrating two birthdays and the staff made us amazing birthday cakes and we also got a free upgrade for the whole week which we were very grateful for. We have wonderful memories from our stay and would love to come back again if the opportunity arises.

Ocean Villa was the perfect choice, very private and quiet.. It has great location to visit the island by car and just on the beach, where we always were alone and it was very nice and quiet. There is also a new swimming pool. The personnel was very friendly and taking care of the details: they made good recommendations, they prepared a dinner with delicious fish and even organized a nice detail with a cake as it was my birthday.

Baie Ste Anne is a lovely place to stay, accessible to Ande Lazio beach, the. Est in the world and the Valle de Mai( the only one in the world). Only 15 minutes to Ladigue with it's lovely granitic stones and clear blue beaches!!

Staff were lovely, extremely polite and attentive. Always went out of their way to ensure you were comfortable and looked after. Pools were lovely and peaceful. Beach was beautiful. Anse Georgette well worth the visit, and had a brilliant little cocktail/drinks stand. Walkable but you get very hot on the way! Otherwise can organise a buggy to take you.

Grand Anse itself does not deserve a long time, being a beach, that's it, depending of course, on what you expect to do.
Praslin itself is not very interesting compared to Mahe or even, La Digue.
Praslin is good for few days, and the most interesting is on the other side, East Coast, since Grand Anse is on the West one.

It's a very picturesque small village. We didn't see much of it, unfortunately. It rained a lot, which kept us indoors. Curieuse Island is exceptional. It's a must-see. However, be aware: the snorkeling part is rather disappointing. If you have your own gear, bring it. The equipment provided locally was quite basic and of poor quality. Gerry, a local taxi driver, is outstanding; if you ever get the chance to explore the island with him.
You really need to choose the right time of year. The Seychelles lose some of their charm in the rain.
Moreover, the biggest challenge remains the cost of everything.

The beach is picture-perfect and not very crowded, with transparent, incredibly coloured water and thin golden sand. There are many trees and also beach chairs. The food and beverage service provided by Le Chevalier Guesthouse is excellent.

My review is for Anse Lazio..Everyone says you have to go there..we took a bus there..Luckily at the bottom at the bus stop at Villa Minoir a young gentleman gave us a lift to the beach..in the heat,with no taxi or bus going up to the beach would have exhausted us ..we met an elderly couple who we took with us..it would have been impossible to get there,in the heat,and we would have been exhausted..so to hire a car in praslin is not a bad idea..Coming back,we were told to ask the gentleman at the gift shop to taxi us to the bus stop..he however refused..not sure why..maybe he was exhausted in the heat..3 lovely ladies from Seychelles were kind enough to take us to the Bus stop..when we reached it..The bus just left..They kindly dropped us at our Hotel..Their kindness will forever be remembered

Rino at welcoming center has really made our vacation feel like home. His warm welcoming at phone even before we arrive and his care during our stay made our visit unforgettable. Fauziah, who is our customer consultant was such a nice lady. She was always contact with us during our stay and checked constantly if everything was ok with us. Hotel was extremely clean and amenities are very well thought. Our room was just mind blowing. We stayed at Room 61 and it was just 32 steps from our room to the beach. Anse Kerlan Beach has very rich and living undersea life with lots of live-corals and fishes, so I suggest you really mind not to use that one in order not to damage corals. Water is shallow and it is quite risky to swim there. There are also sea turtles nests on this beach signed with warnings, so please be careful where you walking on. Remember that having small precautions at your side will create a huge impact in general in sea life and eco-system in a long run :-) Instead Petite Anse Kerlan and Anse Georgette Beaches were extremely beautiful and very safe beaches for swimming. Just take your eyes on your children, cos of some wild waves. If you bring sea shoes with you, they would be very useful for whole trip in Seychelles. Our room was very spacious and cleaned 2 times a day. Kudos to house-keepers and a big thank.

Very nice beach when it’s high tide.
Very nice beach when it’s high tide. The water is warmer and calmer than in other sides of the island , although there is good amount of seaweeds. Snorkelling is average comparing to other beaches. Beautiful sunsets though!

I liked staying at Grand Anse, it has a sense of a small community but not a noisy one. One has to take either a rent a car or a bus. We rented a car for one day only, enough to see the island, and we took one bus ride No 61 around the island. Bus ride should be a must for everyone. Excellent experienced driver but the ride is not for lighthearted.
