So, basically we booked 2 rooms. The rooms wasn't very clean but was okayish. They didn't had any electricity in the garden so we couldn't enjoy a bbq outside during our stay.. i had to buy my own things to get electricity for the house corridor into the garden which was very disappointing..we live in 2023... the staff from the restaurant was a joke. The young guy who served us he didn't had a clue what is he doing..any questions we had he pushed us to his bosses...and they wasn't around...

Everything was amazing, from check in to check out. The apartment is located in a gorgeous area, close to the woods, but still near a supermarket and the attractions of the city. The area is very quiet and we enjoyed getting a good night's sleep, without the noises of a big city! Congrats to the hosts!     Modern hotel in Zalau located in a neighborhood with flats, so it doesn't really stand out location-wise. The hotel looks pretty new and the rooms are well furnished and clean. The airco worked perfectly to cool down the room in summer, and the room was further very quiet so we slept well. There is a small parking lot in front of the hotel, and another on the side (with barrier access); there was sufficient parking space and we could leave the fully-packed car in sight of the hotel entrance without any concerns. There are the usual amenities of a residential area nearby (banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, etc.). The restaurant has a varied menu and the food is very tasty. The breakfast is served early and provides sufficient choice, and good quality foods.

    Zalau is a small but charming town, its surrounding areas...

    Zalau is a small but charming town, its surrounding areas being absolutely amazing landscapes. We had a tour of the churches, very spiritual and beautifully decorated. The locally grown food is excellent, as the locally distilled plum brandy, which is no. 1 in the country. It's also close to the city of Cluj, just 2 hours drive, so this could be made into a tandem visit.

    I was travelling professionally, and the location was just right for me - at a decent distance from the places I needed to reach. A strong Wi-Fi in the room I received was a priceless feature that I was badly needing - and was available (Thank you, Mr. Razvan, Sir). Varied menu, tasty dishes, well presented. Ease of access, right on the side of a National road, in plain sight. Attractive exterior look, Swiss Chalet style, with a large wooden terrace and generous accommodations inside, including ballroom space for large audiences, private backyard parking, inner rustic garden with external barbecue for the sunny days, and - surprise - a indoor warmed pool available on reservation! In the middle of the terrace one will find a basin with water lilies and red and white Koi Japanese carp-fish from which, a small, wooden watermill wheel is 24/7h propelled... Sounds charming and cozy? It is...
