The hotel and grounds are really cute! It is family friendly, our room was really nice, everyone (staff) was super helpful and nice to us and the kids. I don’t think there are many rooms and because all guests have different routines, a lot of the time it felt like we had the place to ourselves, including the pool!

Perfect newly restored hotel. Impossible to fault room, hotel or staff. Excellent breakfast. Also, the normal parking problems of Castello de Vide as there is a car park behind the hotel which always had spaces.

The hotel is located at the foot of Marvão. The castle is beautifully illuminated at night, which you can see if you have a room with a view of the castle. There is an outdoor pool available for hotel guests and a natural pool made on the river, which is very close. Very thoughtful infrastructure. The hotel restaurant is fantastic!

Comfortable hotel in the center of Portalegre. Very warm and hospitable staff. They really make you feel at home, and go the extra mile to cater for all your needs! We got a big and cozy room, and really enjoyed the small balcony. Breakfast is good, with a nice selection of local pastries.

Katharina at the reception desk was very welcoming and helpful. The pool was refreshing and the area nice and warm in the afternoon sun. Breakfast self-service had many choices hot and cold, including variety of coffees from the machine. The location was great, plenty of parking, an easy walk to the main square and castle.
