Every detail was perfect. There were Portugal cosmetics in the bathroom, local products such as bolo levedo, ananases, pastel de nata at the breakfast. There was an option to order pancakes, omelletes at the breakfast, very tasty coffee. Perfect, beautiful design of the rooms. Travel guides to take at the reception. Everybody was super-friendly and super-helpful. Location in the city centre, possible to walk by foot everywhere, close to the ocean. The hotel is really great place to stay while exploring the island. I would recommend to everyone and I’d love to come back here again!

SENSI is an incredibly beautiful property and I can only recommend it to anyone visiting São Miguel. We had arrived much earlier before the check-in time (around 10 am) and were given the room without having to wait. We also got a free upgrade, which was a beautiful surprise for us since the room we got was utterly amazing: a terrace overlooking the green field with cows and the ocean, fantastic bathroom with a ceiling window (never seen anything like that), huge comfortable bed, many possibilities for dim lights and beautiful aromas everywhere. The interior design of the room as well as the entire hotel is top level. The spa area is rather intimate, yet we only saw one other couple there once. The breakfast was amazing as well with a variety of fruits and cheeses, and a possibility to order from the menu. We also had dinner at the restaurant once, it was delicious and well worth the price (which I'd say is just slightly above the average). We were in Sāo Miguel for 4 nights and I wanted to book hotels in different parts of the island. So we stayed at SENSI for 2 nights, at a top rated hotel in Furnas for a night and then at another top rated hotel near Ponta Delgada (won't mention the names, but these are the ones you find in all those "best hotels in Azores" lists). SENSI was the one we loved the most, 100%.

    For a wonderful time in Sao Miguel, this is the place to be. It's in a peaceful spot with stunning ocean views, perfect for starting your day right. The breakfast has lots of tasty options, including local favorites. The staff are really kind and helpful. They let us check in early at 10:00 am and check out late. The spa isn't huge, but it's a great way to unwind after exploring the island. Overall, it's one of the best hotels I've stayed at, fitting in perfectly with Sao Miguel's natural beauty.

    The room was clean modern and spacious. Oceanview was amazing! They served us breakfast in our room. It was so much food, including eggs! The staff were eager to help us with any request from things to do, where to eat and what the tide schedule was. Having snack items available to order was an added bonus as we chose not to leave the property since it was so beautiful and just ordered off the snack/drink menu and everything was brought to our room with no room service fee!

    Breakfast was good, but it had been mostly one and the same through whole stay Room was comfortable, big enough, with a terrace toward the ocean. Pools both external and internal were clean and well maintained, but probably I had an allergy to one of the chemicals used to keep it clean, so reduced stay at certain moment. Gaming room with many games available from reception ... we used it when the weather was not good.

    I would recommend the island of Sao Miguel and the city of Ponta Delgada to everyone. This island is a hidden gem not known by most American's. I have been on every continent but this is a very special place and one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!

    It is a beautiful and historic building with so much character. It has calm and peaceful seating areas throughout where you can sit in comfort. They have the best breakfast and we relied on the banana for a snack as we were out and about during the day. This location is perfect for exploring the island as it is centrally located.     Casas do termo are about 2 km from Lagoa, and we didn't explore this small town well enough. The big Continente supermarket was easy to find (on the road from the motorway). The roads on São Miguel are on the whole very good and the traffic is light. There is a lot of agricultural traffic, however. Using this location as a base, we could easily explore the whole island by car and there are many things worth experiencing (views, villages, Ponta Delgada itself). It's an amazingly lush, green island. We would recommend it!

    There is not much going on here. We stayed here as it's close to Pico Da Vara. We should have stayed at Furnas though as we ended up driving down there 3 times :-) That being said, the island is small and it's all doable.

    this hotel was far from the airport or anything else for that matter, if you had to walk so a car is a necessity, and although the hotel had amenities like restaurant (only open for breakfast with the same breakfast every day) and vending machines (which if you could find a working one was empty( best piece of advise is find a grocery store, the island living is the best but it does take some getting used to if your from North America.

    Ribeira quente is an authentic fishing village with a great restaurant and bar which also serves good food . It has a spar supermarket but also a shop selling local fruit and vegetables amongst other things. It’s easy to find and an easy place to get to the town of Furnas with all the activities there. Although a bit of a drive to sete cicadas there is a fast road and well worth having a day there. I would highly recommend visiting the town of ribeira quente and staying at casa do lado

    It's a very pleasant city, very clean, and has many great cafes and restaurants. It's wonderful to simply stroll through the streets and is a good base for traveling in Sao Miguel and taking excursions on the island. I really liked this city.

    We wanted an authentic, non-touristy area to base ourselves. That’s Ribeira Grande. Pretty town with all amenities (grocery, laundry, museums), gorgeous town square and walkability. Nice access to rest of island for hikes. Friendly locals. Chocolatino, Tukatula, O Canadiano, Pacheco, casa de Pasto Flor-all great restaurants for varying appetites. Azores Brewing-excellent beer and fun vibe.
