Perfect two night stay right in the heart of Sintra. Our room was very spacious, clean, modern, comfy bed and lovely view. The gentleman at reception was super helpful, with many tips not only for Sintra but for our entire road trip through portugal. So lovely to chat to. Breakfast was delicious with great variety. All the pastries were amazing. Highly recommend for your stay in Sintra !

As a family with two boys (ages 7 and 8), we were absolutely delighted with every aspect of our stay. The food and drinks were excellent, and the entire staff was incredibly polite, professional, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Everyone was kind, helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, thanks to the wonderful housekeeping team. The hotel interiors carried a beautiful scent that reminded us of Portugal, something we will cherish and remember for a lifetime. Everything was perfectly organized and delivered exactly as agreed. We especially appreciated the availability of two outdoor pools (0.40m and 1.40m depth), both clean and well-maintained, and the indoor pool, SPA, sauna, and gym facilities were just what we needed for full relaxation and recreation. André and Tina are amazing hosts! André shared countless useful tips that made our stay even better. The place is incredibly serene, a peaceful escape from the buzz of Sintra, yet just a quick five-minute drive brings you right back into the action. The view of the Sintra mountains from the garden is truly breathtaking, and the garden itself is a beautifully maintained tropical paradise. Our room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. If we return to Sintra, there's no doubt, we'll stay here again for sure!

We arrived to an amazing welcoming environment, the staff was incredibly helpful, my mom got sick and they were able to arrange ambulance and accommodate to our situation, they were super friendly and concerned, we weren't able to fully enjoy the facilities however they place looked gorgeous, we will be coming back, with good health and for sure, we will recommend this place to our friends and family.

If you plan dream holidays, Lawrence hotel is the place to stay. Location, room, service - all was just excellent and make you feel special. All three of the main sights are quite spectacular (Pena, Quinta Regaleira, Moorish castle). We went in October so the crowds were not too bad. That is the only downside I think is that in the summer it may be incredibly crowded as it is so close to Lisbon and there are so many day tours from there. The Pena palace has extensive beautiful grounds so if you like walking, you can escape the crowds. There are other places to hike and other nearby sights like Monserrate Palace that I would have liked to explore that we did not have time for. We stayed 2.5 days.

Terrugem is a great base if you have a car, with Cascais just 25 minutes away, Lisbon 30 minutes, and Sintra only 20 minutes. For those without a car, Bolt taxis are very affordable and easy to use. Nazaré is about 1.5 hours away, and on the way, it is well worth stopping at Óbidos, which is a beautiful historic town. A general note about Portugal: the people are very friendly and welcoming. Driving here was also a pleasure – roads were good, traffic was manageable, and drivers were respectful of the rules.

Good beaches and amenities within walking distance. Handy to Sintra, surrounding areas and Lisbon, particularly if you have a car, but public transport options were available too. Colares was relatively quiet compared to Sintra and it was great to escape the hustle and bustle. It a beautiful location, set amongst the tress and tends to be a little cooler than Lisbon, so was a very comfortable temperature, even in the height of summer.

We spent about three days in Sintra, and found it very interesting and worthwhile. There was a large number of excellent restaurants, and the castle was worth having a look. The shopping area boasted of many interesting shops with local or Portuguse-made goods.

Thank you to Katarina and her husband for the cosy accommodation! All the amenities are in the house. This is a great place for a quiet holiday. Nearby are the historical sites in Sintra, the Atlantic coast, great seafood restaurants. I recommend this place for an unforgettable holiday.

This location was great.

This location was great. You can choose to stay in the town and enjoy the beach, restaurants, etc or venture to other nearby attractions like Praia Grande & Arribas Saltwater Pool, Azenhas do Mar pool, or take the trolly (or drive) to Sintra and other towns in the area. My young kids and I enjoyed going to the beach around sunset/low tide to walk the beach, enjoy the small pools of water, etc.

Sintra is must to see in Portugal. Absolutely magical place. If you can, target min 3 nights stay, easily have enough to do for 4 nights. There are a lot of castles and museums. We stayed for two nights and only managed to see three castles: Pena, Quinta da Regaleira and National Palace. I recommend all three. City is on very steep hills, so plan to ware comfortable shoes.
