Amazing place in a beautiful setting with super helpful staff who clearly take pride in this wonderful experience. Pools are lovely and relaxing with lots of different areas of bubbles / jets / saunas/ steam room etc. rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Food is amazing with lots of choices ( we are vegetarian) and the even the breakfast coffee tastes lovely! ( unusual!)

I liked everything about this place, it's a family business and the people in this place are so nice and welcoming, the place is very clean and hospitable, many people come to eat at the restaurant which has amazing food and big portions, the staff is wonderful and I wish I could stay longer, the surrounding area is just pure magic, for anyone that loves nature in abundance don't miss out on this place.     Excellent, well maintained hotel, perfectly positioned opposite the magical village of Piódão. Professional, courteous staff who went the extra mile to fulfil our varying dietary needs. The pool was clean and a great size and temperature for swimming laps. A huge thank you to Alexandra Vieira on reception who kindly arranged our onward transport as we did not have a car and it is impossible to use Bolt/Uber in this area as we discovered!

The hotel staff was helpful and attentive to detail, we got a welcome afternoon coffe and snacks which included different types of delicious handmade food and beverages, then welcome drinks before dinner where we were offered Porto wine. The hotel staff took great care of all guests. Amazing hotel, I'd love to go back, very much recommended!

    We liked absolutely everything about this stay. Some of the best staff I've seen working in a Hotel, always looking to make our experience more enjoyable. The hotel, its surroundings and the facilities are very well put together, the warm swimming pools are amazing to relax in, the walks by the river, etc.... The rooms are spacious and have all the necessary amenities as the photos show. Will surely come back.

    The ambience and decoration was really beautiful and the staff was exceptionally nice. The food in the restaurant was divine and breakfast had a good variety of food for all tastes. The overall prices outside of the package are adequate too. Everywhere we went in the facilities, it was super cozy and warm even though it was freezing outside.

    I was here for work, but added a day to go hiking in the Gardunha mountains. Good hiking trails, with good signposts. The tourism office offers brochures in English. I like the scale of the city: small & calm, but with a good variety of shops, bars & restaurants.

    We left a day early because the town is quite remote and we were keen to move on. We are on a month long tour of Portugal though so a day didn’t make much difference to us. There isn’t much to do in Manteigas itself. Having said that, the guide in the local tourist office is exceptionally helpful and very knowledgeable about the region. There are some beautiful views as you drive in and out of the town.

    This is a hotel with a gorgeous view and with staff that are first class. I stayed here before, when it was a proper Pousada but losing that status has not lowered its standards. The restaurant staff were excellent, the food was OK

    It was an amazing place steeped in history!

    It was an amazing place steeped in history! The walk to the castle is a must as there are beautiful views at every turn. You will find yourself awestruck trying to fathom how it was possible to create a town amongst the boulders. It’s truly an amazing and magical place.

    Beautiful Village with warm welcoming people. There you have the Comfort of a small vilage but at the same time you can find a lot of options as for restaurants and grocery. Recommended for couples and families who wish to have a break from Big cities.

    Celorico da Beira is a beautiful, quiet village with many hiking trails. The area is extremely safe as is most all of Portugal and the locals are very friendly to those visiting. Highly recommend this area if you like hiking, want to be away from the stress and busyness of life, and just want to get away for some peace and quiet with beautiful scenery around you.
