Giżycko is a nice small town with low-rise buildings and a picturesque views on the lake. Marina is small, but you can find there something that suits your taste: sailing or motor boat trip, walking or souvenir shopping, enjoying some local food together with a soothing view. For a lunch try local places called 'smażalnie ryb' with some freshwater fish specialities, but don't expect much)). Fort Boyen, Water Tower and the Swing Bridge are worth seeing! Ryn is a delightful town.
Ryn is a delightful town. It is small, thus quieter than the larger towns, with a much more rural feel. The choice of supermarkets is limited, but adequate. Parking is plentiful, and while food choices are limited, with few restaurants, it's not a big deal, the ones there are charming and worth visiting. The town sits between 2 lakes, one with the swimming area behind the castle, and the other in front of it, with the marina. The marina is good for a daily stroll at sunset, a coffee, lunch, dinner etc. Other towns are easily accessible from Ryn, so it can be a good hub to explore from. It's a quaint, charming place worth staying in. For meals, the recommendation is the Old Mill, right on the lake. You can't miss it. Great overall place in beautiful Mazury Region. All you need, without crowds. Our favorite eatery? Port-O-Wino There is a modern, full service Marina, fresh Japanese and Italian food with some Thai dishes. Great wine selection, happy and prof. staff and amazing sunset views. Alexandra and Robert passed us the keys to their beautiful property which far exceeded our expectations. A beautiful property situated on the lake with a dock and rowing boat and pedalo which we all enjoyed. I also managed quite a bit of fishing with some success. The Sauna was a great bonus and my son Daniel, his wife Maiko and son Hugo enjoyed it most evenings. Local supermarkets supplied all our needs and local restaurants all provide local delicacies. We were able to use the superb barbecue at the property on two occasions. A shame to leave this superb location and a property again which thank you Alexandra was our privalege to be able to stay in. I went on four lake trips in 24 hours. The lakes are magical. The Lutheran church and museum are worth a visit. For fish lovers this place is heaven. I ate burbot and pike-perch, but there are lots of other options.Guest review byPeterPoland - 8.0

We were the first time. A typical tourist destination. In general, prices are high for everything and everywhere. There are honest restaurants - it is worth reading the ratings to eat good and tasty food as you'll spend a lot anyway. Several stores of famous brands with inflated prices. General problem with parking, but that's normal. Unfortunately, very poor attractions for children. There is quite a large playground, but you can see a trace of time and on hot days it is impossible to stand there. The advantage is that other Masurian locations are 20-30 km away, so you can diversify your stay.Guest review byBartoszPoland
