Where I come from, I work at a 5 star Hotel. So I know a lot about how to make Hotel guests feel extra special. Ferra Hotel you never disappointed us! You are indeed our Friendliest Host in Boracay! From the moment we arrived til we left, we had such a great time. The staff was super friendly and helpful with everything! They were fast when they assisted and helped us when my youngest son got stung by a sea urchin. Even the chef in the kitchen offered his assistance. We are so overwhelmed how kind you are to us. We never regretted we stayed at Ferra Hotel. Where we come from, we are used to walking. And the hotel is located close to Bulabog Beach. The place where you could spend some quite time because it's not crowded. The famous leaning coconut tree is also in the Bulabog Beach. It is also here you can watch the sunrise. Ferra Hotel is a 4 minutes walk to D'mall and 10mins walk to White Beach. What we love more about Ferra is they give us complimentary water every day. When we get back from a day tour, our room is tidy and clean. And did I mention about their towel, that are so soft!!! But I would like to mention the exceptional Ms. Que, for always checking up on us and asking how our day was. She also make the best Hot calamansi juice. Thank you for attending to all our needs. To Sir Reynard, the friendliest bartender. He amused us with his kindness way of serving. And to the chef, who made delicious and tastiest food. The best nachos, calamari and pancakes we have ever tasted. Overall the food at Ferra are superb! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comforts and satisfactions. The luxurious accommodations, coupled with exceptional service, made our stay truly memorable. We can’t wait to return to Ferra again on our next visit. Highly recommended!

Virly and Javier were very accommodating hosts. We felt very welcome and they took the time to chat with us and explain the local culture and island life. We booked their hotel (gorgeous bamboo finishings throughout) while we were on the ferry and it was one of the best locations we stayed at during our 2-week trip in the Philippines. The only thing I'd indicate for improvement is that it was a little tricky to find - perhaps a signage before the dirt road to the resort would help travellers find their way to this little slice of paradise. Good luck to you both!

    The location is good. It is inside the town, close to pier 1, the place from where one can get ocean jet ferry to Bohol. Few attractions are at walking distance from this place. Initially our room was a smaller one but due to some maintenance issue we were upgraded to a suite like room, which was quite big, clean and good kitchenette. In both the rooms ACs worked well. View was also good from both the rooms. Thanks to Teresa for upgrading us to a suite without charging any additional fees immediately after bringing a maintenance issue in our booked room.

    The territory is amazing! I haven’t seen anything like this before! The saltwater lagoon that is open 24 hours is a great option! The staff is always there for you, so nice and friendly ! And the breakfast really surprised us) every day there are different kitchens of the world (Mexican, Chinese, Italian etc). You can always find fresh fruits and juices and homemade bakery) we faced some challenges with the bank card during check in, but the staff handled the situation great and even upgraded the room category due to the inconvenience.     You will really feel luxury in this hotel. If you want privacy, peace and quiet, this is the best hotel in Alona beach. It is quite expensive and you really get what you pay for. You barely see other guests, it doesn't feel full although their occupancy rate is quite high. The staff always greet the guests and they were very warm and helpful. The view from the pools were also great.

    Cebu has its beautiful and calm areas which is awesome, however due to our location it was always an hour or so to get to these places, so my advice to future travellers is to choose a hotel outside the city centre, maybe more South West or South East where the beautiful beaches and waterfalls are situated.... A must have is Grab to get around, its safe and very affordable, however any beaches are far out of the city!

    Depends on what you want to do in Boracay. If you want to party and enjoy the crowded beach, go to the main Stations. If you want to enjoy privacy and tranquility with less to no crowd, then go to New Coast.

    I like the people of Panglao and the places.

    I like the people of Panglao and the places. We feel at home away from real home.Feeling of confident walking in the roads and markets.Specially the beaches..My family love the Alona ambiance.And been to Moadto Strip which has a nice free beach.And for our transportation we always book for Romelle and Edzel recommended by Nilo the property manager.

    I had lived in Moalboal before.

    I had lived in Moalboal before. I was just back visiting a girlfriend. The Panagsama area, where the resort is located is great. Literally walked the entire area. Lots of different restaurants/bars. Plenty of different operators for activities, mostly sea related. It is a great area. I plan to move back next year.

    The road works and roads are an absolute mess with ongoing roadworks happening. The prices of food and drinks are very high almost double what I pay on the mainland. Some very nice travel and exploreing to do if you can hire a bike. Getting there and back is very easy. The beaches though around siquijor are very polluted with garbage and seaweed and not very inviting to swim

    We loved our city tour esp. to the Garin Farm, Balay na Bato where we had a taste of hot choco and molo soup, visited various churches and tried the Roberto's siopao (so big that one is good for 2 persons), the famous Ilongo batchoy. We also explored Guimaras and our tour to Gigantes Islands is unforgettable esp. with the unli scallops served for lunch at the Lantangan beach.

    No really a friendly place to live or visit...The airport is small and uncomfortable...It's all about tokens or tips for people who are not even helping you with your luggage and NO Grab car/taxi service there...No place to eat buffet restaurants and it's hard to find cook tilapia fish there in restaurants...

    Though a small city, with the St Agustin Church & Plaza being the main attraction, the outskirts are beautiful and offer lot of things to do like in Silay, where beautiful Ancestral Heritage homes still stand after more than a century, as well as, very good food trip like El Ideal for their divine crispy thin piayas, guapple pie, and more. Pahanocoy is another outskirt that’s just a 20-minute public bus ride from SM Mall to organic farm FreshStart Organic & Natural where I had exquisite culinary experience in their Lanai Restaurant, 1 of 4, in its organic grounds. The owners & staff even made the time to welcome and visit with me and share their passion of sustainable organic farm to table dining experiences!!!!     There are many interesting things to see and do in the area.

    There are many interesting things to see and do in the area. However, transportation is a nightmare unless you book tours with companies that provide transportation. I noted that rental cars that you can drive yourself, are difficult to find and very expensive when you do find them. It seems that taxi's are only to be found at the Airport and thou reasonable at 300 pasos for a short trip across the city, it is difficult to find a taxi on the street. Tricycles (motorcycles with side cars) are ubiquitous in the city but uncomfortable, frequently overloaded and probably unsafe.
