The beautifully restored historical house with museum located next to the old castle near a wonderful beach in Taqah was our favourite hotel and area during our 2 week travels throughout Oman. The staff were highly competent and great hosts. Service and breakfast were excellent. 10 from 10 points.

This hotel is highly recommend for the quality/price offered. .The room was large and comfortable. The staff and the receptionist extremely friendly. Especially Tariq who helped me navigate the area with good detailed plans to make my visit in the Dhofar region very pleasantHe also allowed a late check out.The breakfast and meals were plentiful and varied.The Chef Mufsi and Saif tried to make everything work well and even provided me with deluxe service and meals .This hotel has also a relaxing swimming pool and what was to be a stay of one night ended in 3 night stay! Thank you all for a wonderful stay. A perfect stay for knowing all the region.

The hotel is beautiful, located in the best accommodation area in Salalah. Staff is friendly and very helpful. I felt like in the best resorts of the world. Breakfast is delicious, 2 incredible swimming pools in the hotel plus access to Rotana swimming pool and a private beach without waves. Wifi great and working in all areas including the beach. Huge room with great bathroom. Parking area in front of reception with plenty of spots. I loved it and totally recommend.

The breakfast was very decent. They kept changing the menu every day so we didn't had to eat same stuff every day. We had an executive suite with 2 rooms so the room was decent size with nice and comfy beds. Staff was friendly and the hotel was decently cleaned. The location of the hotel is pretty amazing and gives easy access to the main highways, nearby attractions and a lot of eating options. The AC and heater was working perfect. I stayed in this hotel and lost some clothes, especially in the town of Sut Jadid. We asked the management of the hotel, who is Egyptian, and they treated us very poorly. This hotel does not have management. We advise the owner of the hotel, and should Dhofar leave their country like these expatriate workers who are tarnishing the reputation of the hotel

The receptionist went extra miles to take care of us. I booked for one night and wanted to try some other resort, but it exceeded my expectations and thought of saving time; so I requested them to extend my stay for 2 more nights, which they happily accepted given that they were nearly fully booked due to Kharif season.

We got something like a separate small villa with our own terrace and it was really nice! The room itself was spacious and cozy, had everything required - bed, desk, fridge, chairs; bathroom had all amenities including toiletries and towels. I liked almost everything, it’s not overcrowded like other...

I liked almost everything, it’s not overcrowded like other destinations in the Middle East. Loved the Geography, dramatic coast line, mountains, beautiful beaches, lush green areas in East and of course the desert. Would be a great area to hire a motor home to explore, think the region lends itself to this, I believe this would attract tourists! Maybe a weekly flight direct from London with Oman Air but at the same time would hate the country to be spoilt by tourism.

the beaches are spectacular, the location is really perfect...

the beaches are spectacular, the location is really perfect if you look for a quite and familiar place. Everyone is friendly and helpful. the surrundings are stunning and the trip is aboslutely worth it. There are several resorts in the area but they are very decent and not invasive.

Salalah and especially the surrounding mountains contain a unique environment with magical natural views. But, if you want to see the lush green landscapes and waterfalls, make sure to come in the correct monsoon season known as khareef, which is during the summer months. Once the rains stop, the waterfalls dry up and the lush greenery turns dry and yellow. I came in November, which is a perfect time for nature photography as there is no rain to damage the camera and nature is still very alive, but all waterfalls had already completely dried up and the lush greenery was gone. The region, like the entire country, is very safe, with friendly and helpful people.

A quiet, quaint city with a seemingly tight-knit community and fantastic sights. We arrived at the end of the Khareef season but did not miss out on any greenery, beautiful birds, roaming camels, and absolutely great water features such as springs, streams, and waterfalls!
