- From US$125.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 2,049 reviewsLocation was so close to our training centre, easy to walk too and from. Lots of close restaurants, takeaway shops. Close to Cuba street, quiet. Really clean, lovely towels and a great hairdryer. Coffee and tea facilities. Bed wasnt the best on oneside, probably the side everyone sleeps on, so needs to be turned or replaced it. TV remote was not working, reported it but it didnt get fixed or changed, not sure if that was because my do not clean sign was up. Food is great, lots of options.Guest review byFrancesNew Zealand
- From US$136.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,742 reviewsThe room was really big and comfortable, it had a few coffes and tea. I didn't take the option of breakfast as i find it a little overprice for a breakfast (but I didn't check the quantity of quality of it). The location was good, could be better. I arrived to the Aiport and took the AX BUS from the airport (10nzd) to the Railway Station and walk like 10 minutes to the hotel. The hotel is big, prety, clean and the staff really kind, they allow me to do check-in 30 minutes before the time.Guest review byMarcosArgentina
- From US$101.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 1,808 reviewsIncredible hotel with the most exemplary staff. In particular, I would like to commend Sarah who was so kind and really went above and beyond to help me during my stay. She is a real credit to the hotel. The room was luxurious, spotlessly clean and had all the necessary amenities. I found all of the staff to be highly professional and competent in their respective roles. Bed was so comfy and breakfast was delicious. After staying in hostels for weeks, this was a 5* treat. Thank you!Guest review byHollyUnited Kingdom

Andrew was absolutely lovely on arrival and throughout our stay. Wished we could have stayed longer longer. The apartments are very clean and tidy and spacious with everything you need. After being on the road for the last 5 weeks and eating out, it was nice to be able to sit down and have a home cooked meal with a full kitchenette. Next time we will definitely be back for longerGuest review byNicky HeureaAustralia

The location was great, so close to every choice of food and entertainment. And the parking was free! The room was warm, clean and spacious, the bathroom looked recently renovated. The beds were so comfortable, the best I've slept in for some time at a motel.Guest review byLLou99Australia

The staff were outstanding, informatve and very friendly. Although the dinner menu was very limited the quality was 5 star. Accommodation was absolutely immaculate and so comfortable. Cannot open window at night time because little insects come inside and bitten us and give us itchy. But all and all I do love the place. Very presentable and clean and tidy.Guest review byMariaAbkhazia

Recommend getting a snapper card for ease of travel.
Recommend getting a snapper card for ease of travel. Initially $10 but providers cheaper fares on public transport. Utilise the metlink app to find nearest bus stop, timetables, trip planning etc. Very useful. Makes getting out of the city to visit much easier. Live tracking. Highly recommend these 2 essentials. I would recommend a behind the scenes walking tour of the Opera House and St James Theatre - my highlight on this trip. Wellington is a easy walking city. Catch the bus to Mt Victoria for the stunning views then walk down to Oriental Bay, the zoo or other walking trails. There are plenty of fine eating places. Most have menus on the windows. There are also food trucks and indoor food markets. It is very vibrant. The water front on a clear sunny place is the tops. Cant say no to the Cable car and a walk through the botanical gardens. This city offers a lot for solo travellers with a wide range of activities that be free.Guest review byJohn - 2.0
We left straight away and did not stay.
We left straight away and did not stay. The driveway was completely dangerous, we got stuck half way up and had to walk back down to the bottom to find help. There was no way we could have been able to come and go as needed. The house was also freezing. We contacted to say it was dangerous and unsuitable and would be leaving straight away and got a notification the message had been read but received no reply.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Martinborough is a beautiful town with an attractive square and several lovely cafes and exclusive shops. The Martinborough Bookshop is lively and well stocked - has just won best independent bookshop in NZ.Guest review byRuthNew Zealand - 6.0
Everything within walking distance.
Everything within walking distance. However there's NO pedestrian crossings from the motel side of the road! I'm a bit slow with bad hips and I was taking my life into my hands to get across to the mall lol. Great little cafe called "Local Authority" under the council building next to the gym! Fantastic coffee and lovely staff!Guest review byChrisNew Zealand - 8.0
Upper Hutt is a growth area.
Upper Hutt is a growth area. Being right next to the ranges it is cold in Winter but I would argue the Summers are warmer than Wellington because the Wairarapa which is warm is on the other side of the rangersGuest review byRogerNew Zealand - 8.0

All in all it was a very good experience staying and I would stay there again. The unit was nice and clean and the staff were very welcoming. The local Indian restaurant is the best Indian food I have ever had and the service was exceptional not to mention that the prices are very reasonable. We tried to get into the Thai but it was fully booked. We went to another restaurant down by the beach which was upstairs but it was so noisy that it was to hard to hear. We were down for a funeral and had a car so very easy to get around the area.Guest review byGinaNew Zealand - 10.0
Greytown is so close to many places of interest.
Greytown is so close to many places of interest. As a township it has everything required for a stay. Beautifully preserved in heritage style. Very friendly, helpful locals. The Cobblestone Museum is a must to see. Central to other interesting wee townships and a stunning scenic drive to Castlepoint which is a must see and explore. The best burgers at the local store. 😋 would love to return to visit everything we didn't have time for. I must say EXCELLENT restaurants and takeaways. Missed a laundromat but one in Martinborough, Carterton.Guest review byLizNew Zealand - 6.0

There is no Uber, only their local Taxi, which makes getting around without a car quite difficult They do have a lot of Beaches and Reserves close by, and when I stayed at the White House up the hill, I had an epic view with the best Sunset.Guest review byClliffdog01New Zealand - 8.0

Great place. The beach and surrounds have much to offer. For a low key activity go to Nga Manu. Relaxing and informative! Watch the eels being fed and attempt to see a nesting kiwi. We did, but not much action to see. If you like nature, just go.Guest review byIvan & SharynAustralia
