Very friendly host who was very thoughtful in adding extra touches. Spacious flatette that was very comfortable with a garden outlook. Very comfortable beds. Easy access and off street parking. Great continental breakfast. Delicious gourmet meal cooked for us on request.

My daughter & I decided to stay overnight at Oamaru before continuing our road trip to Christchurch. We got the ground floor 2-bedrooms unit of this restored heritage building. The parking is just outside the main door, so convenient for us. There was another unit upstairs via the staircase at the side The place is a treasure! It looks like a remnant of time past by yet the interior is stunningly decorated (those amazing chandeliers for central lighting) & furniture feels so richly luxurious. I love the unit layout & each bedroom is ensuite. The kitchen has everything you need for simple cooking. After days of travelling, we needed laundry facility. The shared laundry is locked, just steps away behind the building. We called Katrina to get the access code & she promptly picked up the call. Both washing machine & dryer were easy to use. Cool! Bathrooms are spotlessly clean. Rooms have heaters that we appreciated as we were still not used to the cold'ish summer weather..
