The staff at the reception is friendly and helpful. We were initially allocated a room on the second floor. My wife would want a room on the ground floor and the reception staff was very helpful to reallocate us a ground floor unit. The parking lot is spacious and easy for parking.

The accommodation was good, plenty of eating places to choose from in town or just stroll the shops for exercise, quite a lot of attractions to choose from like lake cruse, golf, bungy jumping , senic flights and many more.

A superb free museum/art gallery which we visit whenever we...

A superb free museum/art gallery which we visit whenever we can. Disabled parking right outside means it is easy to visit. Hamilton itself is very difficult to negotiate even with GPS!!! Now made worse by various motorways, multiple roundabouts and inadequate signage. It is a pity Hamilton Gardens charges so much - we used to love to visit it but no more.

Cambridge is the most well laid out town centre, with easy free parking, respectful drivers of pedestrians on crossings. It has a great variety of cafes, restaurants and shopping for all ages. My number one town to visit

It was not on the main strip but in the waterways housing.

It was not on the main strip but in the waterways housing. Both super markets are easy walking away. Whitianga was alive and the cafes were doing good trade. We used the hot pools at the Lost Springs excellent. We used the BBQ facilities at our accommodation. Had breakfast at the local cafes down by the water front. They were launching the class bottom boats down the ramp. If we had more time that looked like a great activity

Such a lovely town & so much history in the town.Lovely train ride at the River Creek driving range & also the friendly people we spoke to. Lots of lovely shops & to sum it up it is a great place to stay & get around. Thanks.

The main point of our trip was to visit Hobbiton Movie Set.

The main point of our trip was to visit Hobbiton Movie Set. This is an amazing experience, our second trip. Have done both the lunch & dinner experience. Food, staff & experience rate a 10. Had a great meal at Sofra, food & staff were great. Breakfast at The Rich Coffee Cafe was nice and the staff were ok. Visited the I-Centre too and found the staff to be helpful.

The food was great everywhere we went ,shopping was great and we booked the sunset cruise for Saturday evening that was awesome which took us around the inner harbour with a guide who was a local telling us the history of the area

Our tour of the Ruakura cave was great.

Our tour of the Ruakura cave was great. Our tour guide held the kids' attention the entire way and answered all of their questions. The caves are amazing to see and this walking tour is just the right length, even for young kids. Don't forget to book ahead and take a warm top as it is quite chilly down there.

We loved it.

We loved it. The grandkids loved the playground by the mall area. We had a great time at the Goldmine experience and fully recommend this as they were very informative and something different to see. Everything was close by with ample parking which made it easier to get around. Wea made our meals although meal delivery is possible. The ocean is also close. Would love to come back to Thames at some point
