Among the many wonderful accomodations on Waiheke Island, we chose Wild Thyme because they gave detailed information about the location and facilities, which made it easy for us to imagine what our stay would be like. AND Wild Thyme was PERFECT in every way! The rooms were well-equipped and comfortable, and were spotlessly clean. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, while the place is located in a convenient area, shops and the beach of Onorea within walking distance. Most of all, Jules and Bruce were great hosts, being attentive and kind. It is all thanks to their welcome, my parents and I truly enjoyed an unforgettable vacation. Another BIG attraction is Jule's Wine Tour! The information is also written on the notebook provided in your room. I highly recommend it to anyone considering staying here. She asked us about our wine preferences in advance and came up with the Perfect plan. We visited Allpress Olive Groves, Tantalus, Man O'War+lunch, Waiheke Gin Distillery and Passage Rock. It may have been partly because it was winter and the wineries were quiet, but Jules arranged with the winery staff to grant our selfish request to try wines(bubbles!) that were not on the regular tasting menu! She even arranged for us to taste limited edition gin at the distillery. She took us to hard-to-reach places in the east and south of the island, such as ManO'War and Passage Rock, where we enjoyed not only the drinks but also the charms of the island as a whole. It's only been a week since I returned home, but I already feel a strong desire to go back.

Fantastic apartment! We will stay here again if we come back to Waiheke! Perfectly located to walk to town in 2 minutes or the beach in 5 mins. You can see the beach from the apartment (villa 10) and everything was so clean and inviting. It was a pleasure to stay here, the bus stops is 1 minute walk away and it takes 5 minutes to get to the ferry (via bus) and only 25 mins if you’re walking. Close to all the amenities and restaurants, well worth staying here and a fantastic base for doing wine tours!

Diane was an unmatched host! She was so warm and welcoming even though we messed up our booking a little. We left a little larger around the waistline following the consumption of her continuous supply of home baked goods 😍 Even though it was well located we felt like we were in the middle of the forest with endless bush views. A truly homely and unique stay :)

The location was perfect - close to the ferry and in Ostend which had everything we needed.. the hotel arranged a taxi to the Vinyard we had booked and we also visited the RSA over the road for drinks and food and everyone was so welcoming and friendly.. we would definately book those accomodation again

Great location, facilities- especially heated lap pool, friendly & helpful hosts. Breakfast was fantastic. Views from property and on local walks were spectacular. One of the best luxury accommodation places we have stayed around the world. Quiet and relaxing.

The hotel offered breathtaking views, beautifully designed rooms, and an exceptional spa. We especially enjoyed the heated pool, which came with stunning views.

Everything!!! Location, food, wine, the cottage was wonderful. Hot tub, extras, comfort, just glorious and opulent. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway.

Clean, easy accessible and everyone on the island seems to know where it is located so we were never lost! Loved the breakfast offered.

View was lovely, facilities were good, shower was fab, it was easy to find and check in was easy too.

Everything , 5 minute walk to beautiful beach and 10 minutes in a taxi to the ferry point

The Moorings is a beautiful place to stay, everything was perfect. Highly recommend.
