FranceFantastic accommodation. This is a five star apartment....the shower is spacious and powerful- a most important feature! The bed extremely comfy with beautiful linen. Well fitted out to make your stay very comfortable and Luisa has added a few little luxuries to make it an extra special place.
The apartment is a couple of minutes walk from the wharf where you will find great shops, bars and restaurants. And we can definitely recommend the bike hire shop on the wharf ( think it's called kiwi journeys)...very helpful. We took the ferry across to rabbit island and cycled the great taste trail to Richmond. A very pleasant day out.

We stayed in "Tui" in March. The cabin is in a great location with its own private garden area. The cabin has a well equipped kitchen where you could cook a meal if you were so inclined. We preferred to eat in Tekaka where there are several good eateries. The large bed was comfortable and the rest of the furnishings fitted well.
There is a bath on the patio where you can soak while watching the stars or in my case watching the Fantails chase each other around the trees.

- Great location, 10 minute walk into Kaiteriteri, a great base to explore from too
- Immaculate rooms, great kitchen, furniture, everything was clean and spotless - Suite was spacious too
- Balcony and view were amazing, spa bath in the room was awesome, enjoying sunset and the stars
- Continental breakfast was on point, the food/drinks on offer whilst limited to vegetarian options other than eggs, were all delicious and of good quality

We adored everything about this place, the view, the chalet, bathroom the breakfast basket delivered the night before. We cooked on the bbq quite a bit too. Loved we could do laundry freely after 5pm. The owners and staff were all super lovely too. It was spotlessly clean and really felt 5 star. We also really liked the area close to collingwood and farewell spit.

It’s hard to describe in words. You just need to experience how amazing the place, people and area. Plenty space for family of 4. Fantastic view of sunrise, a stone throw away from the beach, next to where the ferry ride to Abel Tasman and next to Waterfront restaurant which by the way had excellent service and food! What do you need more?

Great value for money ! We had a comfortable appartment with 2 seperate bedrooms, and all necesarry kitchen equipment. You can see the appartments are a bit dated, but everything is super clean and spaceous, so we didnt mind at all. Pool was heated. Beds are comfortable - which is rare in new zealand. Staf was helpfull as well :)

Cabin overlooked the beach and sea which was an amazing view. Very quiet with restaurants a short 3 minute walk away.
Very clean and comfortable. Small, as expected, but most of our time was spent sitting outside watching the sea. Good shower and facilities with a fridge and kettle.

You go to Kaiteriteri for the awesome views, beach and water. There is good walking/hiking paths nearby. It was not overly crowded at the beginning of March but the water was still swimmable. Very close to Abel Tasman which is great.

We arrived in Marahau in order to walk on the Abel Tasman...
We arrived in Marahau in order to walk on the Abel Tasman track. It is a small township, and we enjoyed walking down to the bay for the sunset. We had chosen the Aqua taxi to transport us up to the start of our walk, and enjoyed the efficiency and novelty of that experience. Just a warning to other travellers, By mid May, the little township is settling in for the ‘off’ season, which means that there are fewer grocery and eating options. We had been forewarned and had collected groceries at Motueka.

Takaka is a fantastic location that gives good access to...
Takaka is a fantastic location that gives good access to beaches all around the area, and the lovely Pupu Springs and Farwell Spit. The people in the town were lovely and friendly. We had the best vegetarian burgers, even better than our Ferg burgers from Queenstown! We all felt so safe and just enjoyed our time there. The drive over the Takaka Hill was a great experience, both in the misty rain and in beautiful sunshine.

Collingwood and out lying areas have some spectacular...
Collingwood and out lying areas have some spectacular scenery with very unique environments not found in other places of the world. If you want to learn some history about early NZ, this little place has bits of information signposted everywhere so forget about guessing who found the place or what kept the inhabitants there. Even the journey there from Nelson was interesting with multiple towns and side trips like Mapua, the entrance to the Abel Tasman Track, Kaiteriteri Beach, Pohara and Waipupu Springs walk which was wonderful, just to mention a couple of things we did.

It is also very close to some special places - Tata and Ligar Beaches, the Wainui Falls, the Grove Reserve and more - always something new to discover.

St arnaud is the starting point for discovering the delights...
St arnaud is the starting point for discovering the delights of Nelson Lakes National Park. The town and the surroundings are extremely picturesque and the walks in the national park remain some of my favourites in the South Island. Beautiful beech forests. Also very nearby are dedicated mountain bike trails that are great fun.
