Amazing experience. Super cool system with check-in and online keys - loved it (never had this anywhere before). Super friendly stuff. Great central location and close to the bus station. Good bonus - got a free update for a king suit with a beautiful view. Super clean and absolutely stunning design. Definitely recommend and will stay here again.

This is a fantastic hotel that ticks all the boxes for comfort, customer service and a sense of luxury. The staff were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. The bed was amazing and so was the shower. We also loved how the hotel was decorated; lots to see (artwork, books, etc... not your standard hotel lobby) and the location was perfect for us: short walking distance to everything in Christchurch center. In the same courtyard as the hotel you can find a wine bar which is a lovely place to spend an evening. I cannot think of a single thing that I would suggest to change in this hotel. Our stay was simply perfect.

I stayed at this airport hotel because it was the most economical hotel in the class I wanted in Christchurch. I would have preferred closer to town, but this worked out fine since there was a bus stop right outside the door, with frequent routes to the city center for only NZ $2.10. (I heard that NZ halved all public transportation prices because of Covid, then extended them because of Cyclone Gabriel.). So it took anywhere between 15 and 35 minutes to/from the city. Very easy. My room is as quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable. Had the usual tea kettle, coffee pot and refrigerator. There is a strip mall with a grocery store, so I bought breakfast food there, since the hotel breakfast was too pricey for me at $35, and there was a good coffee shop there too with breakfast food. Ate at an Indian restaurant at that mall which was awful. The Mexican restaurant was good. Would highly recommend this option of staying at a nice hotel at the airport not only because it’s affordable, but because I didn’t have to lug my luggage into the city.

A very nice and spacious apartment, 3 bedrooms, 4 beds, staffs are very helpful and reception opens till 10pm. Views of city from balcony, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and facility all Good . We highly recommend this place. You have a secure parking spot just in front of your apartment. Seriously good location. Definitely will come back again.

The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from the city centre and easy access to so many places of interest! The room was very comfortable and quiet! I tended to eat out for meals as there a large choice of places to eat within walking distance…the Riverside Market and restaurants along Oxford Terrace provided lots of places to eat!

The receptionist Jess, was so welcoming upon arrival. Love that from her after a long day of travel. She made check-in smooth and it was a pleasure talking to her. Location of Southwark Hotel and Apartment was good. Nearby restaurants and many things to do and look around the area.

Gorgeous city, we were only there for a pitstop but will...

Gorgeous city, we were only there for a pitstop but will spend two nights there on our way home. So pretty, lovely houses and buildings. Lots of grass/trees etc. Our experience with take away foods wasn't great, I think we are too spoiled living in Melbourne. Also groceries and food int he supermarket were SO expensive, which we had not expected. But a lovely city and friendly people.

Methven is a good base for exploring, viewing the southern alps, the Rakaia Gorge and close enough to visit the Staveley Station Cafe for lunch or morning tea. The 4 Square in town is well stocked and the staff are lovely. As an outdoor painter, there is a lot of inspiring scenery to paint.

This road trip was the most picturesque and unique of our 3 trips to new Zealand. The views of the snow capped mountains beside lakes and rivers, along with sheep and cattle grazing in green paddocks, along with pine forests made this a drive to remember. Vastle Hill/Kura Tawhiti Conservation area is worth a visit to walk around the limestone rock formations. The town itself is small but interesting. The walk to Devils Punchbowl is a must with the most stunning waterfall we have seen anywhere. The 800 or so steps are easily manageable unless you have bad hips or knees

Springfield is only an hour from Christchurch yet so close...

Springfield is only an hour from Christchurch yet so close to great scenery for drives and many sporting activities including Mt Hutt Ski Fields plus others. Arthur's Pass is a fabulous drive, Rakaia Gorge is beautiful, the drive to Coleridge Power Station, at the back of Mt Hutt is very scenic. The town of Methven is not far away. And there is so much more to see. Springfield is a fabulous base for so much to do and see!

On our way back home to Queenstown, my husband was so tired...

On our way back home to Queenstown, my husband was so tired so we decided to do a last minute booking, was only one room left and we were lucky to get it. The property manager was so kind and very helpful, room was great all we needed a great bed and easy location to drive out. Just what we needed, definitely will return and i would telll a freind and freinds. Thank you Guys.

I really like kaiapoi and I would like to stay there but...

I really like kaiapoi and I would like to stay there but would definitely stay in another motel I found everyone friendly and found some good Cafés at night I were at the speedway at Woodfordglen that was the reason I stayed in kaiapoi because it was close to the speedway track.

Luxurious and welcoming.

Luxurious and welcoming. The restaurant at Terrace Downs was exceptional. Highly recommend the Mt Cook Salmon main. Extensive wine selection and great service. Would love to have stayed longer as there is so many exciting activities to choose from.

We chose Darfield because we were doing some research nearby. Darfield is perfectly located to find agricultural supplies and outdoor clothing which we needed. Darfield, just 35km from Christchurch, links all routes also to.the south and west and north. Like many south island small towns, Darfield has a sense of civic pride and is easy to navigate around or through.

Ohoka is a small place with friendly folk and the area in which I stayed. It's peaceful countryside with the occasional hawk or falcon to watch. Local produce and craft are both good. It's a nice peaceful place.
