The room was fantastic, huge bathroom, huge room. We had a balcony overlooking the marina, which was lit up at night and so relaxing. The TV had netflix on it and the tea/coffee was fully stocked. The hotel provided additional pillows at no extra cost. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant downstairs was delicious!

November 2024 - We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The apartment was simply perfect: clean, comfortable, warm, and extremely functional. The view was truly enchanting; we couldn’t have asked for better! We were welcomed by Sopha and her father Théo, exceptionally kind hosts. It was a real pleasure to chat with them, and their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back without hesitation! Once again, a huge thank you for everything! I liked most the variety of eating places both in the shopping centre and out on the water There was a ferry running every half hour across the bay to Russell a very interesting little town to spend the morning in I loved my morning walk along the beaches before it got busy Paihia faces east so it gets the morning sun The town hosts international cruise ships so there is a huge variety of tourist activities available from the centre itself

I loved that everything was so close a 5 minute drive the views were stunning i couldn't have asked for more. Long days but enjoyed every part of my trip would of been nice to go back to accommodation and just have a relaxing bath. But all In l it was absolutely 💯 will recommend to college's.

Do yourself a favour and stay for a few days at this wonderful place. There are so many walks, and lots of beautiful spots to explore. It would be a shame to limit yourself to the main street. The museum and the French Printery are certainly worth a visit, as is getting up to the top of Flagstaff Hill and having a coffee from the van on Long Beach. The 4 Square shop is well stocked and reasonably priced if you are self catering.

Opononi and Omapere are two small seaside towns within a 5km stretch of the west coast of Northland, near the mouth of the Hokianga harbour. The scenery is stunning, but the accommodation and eating options are fairly limited.

Jan greeted us at the door with a super warm welcome. The apartment is superb, very comfortable and beautiful. A surprise was a delicious sour dough loaf of bread all the condiments you could want. Herbal teas and plunger coffee. Yogurt butter and milk. Amazing. !!! Outdoor area and garden beautiful.

Everyone said you must go to Shnapper Rock Cafe. Well too expensive for us. $110 for a steak?? $110 for a lamb roast?? We found that incredible so no lovely dinner out for us. We did have a cheaper lunch but really wanted a great dinner.

Kai Iwi Lake which is located 30 minutes by car is so beautiful. Supahn Thai Restaurant in Dargavill is very nice. There is countdown and warehouse in Dargavill and we can prepare the enjoy at the lake or hiking at Kauri park.
