Newly built & open since September, 2022, this hotel was most notable for its very contemporary decor and amenities, such as a heated bathroom floor, heated bathroom towels, large shower stall, water conserving bathroom faucet, 4 USB charging outlets in the room (2 at the bedside), extremely comfortable king sized bed, phenomenal room views of Lake Tekapo and its surrounding snow-capped mountains, not to also mention the complimentary milk & coffee for the room. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful & professional.

This beautiful property is a lovely escape from the city. The views of the rolling hills and surrounds from the upstairs bedroom are particularly fantastic. Mike was a great host and full of tips for the surrounding area, and the incredibly friendly dogs were a real highlight. We also enjoyed feeding the alpacas, marvelling at the lavender plants and enjoying homemade jam as part of the provided breakfast. An extremely comfortable stay, we’d recommend this place to anyone travelling through the area, including to or from Lake Tekapo or Timaru.

Everything was good. The lodge was very clean and nice. It was fun to do a farm tour and pet and feed the animals and the jacuzzi under the stars was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is possibly my favourite place I’ve ever stayed. The building has history and character. The design is stylish and comfortable. The owners have thought of little things and paid attention to detail. Only wish that we could have stayed more than one night (and that there was a slightly later checkout…but that seems common across most places in NZ).
