The best thing was pulling up into the car park after a few hours of driving with our toddler, to see the trampoline and swing-set - he was entertained for hours.
We will be back for sure.

Close to the city centre.
Clean and tidy.
Had everything we needed.
Our room was lovely and warm.
Beds were comfy.
Kids loved the hot outdoor pool although the private spa pools weren’t that warm compared to the swimming pool otherwise we will definitely be back to stay again in the near future.

We had a wonderful experience at this accommodation! It's a shame we only stayed for one night. The spaces were spacious and communication with the hotel was pleasant, especially since we needed to change our booking last minute, and everything went perfectly.

The room and the views were simply amazing. Room was clean, spacious, and had lots of amenities like a kitchen, coffee machine and a hot tub. It offered stunning views of the lake along with easy access for a stroll.

It was an ultra-high-end accommodation. The accessibility to downtown and surrounding tourist attractions was good, and the garden inside the resort was great. I plan to visit again next time.

The location is lovely, the clean room very tastefully done with an excellent bathroom. Self serve breakfast is provided in the room so no need to pack up and then drive to get food. The check out time of 11am allows for a relaxing morning especially after a long drive like we had.
Kinloch is nearby on the lakeside with a general store. Worth a walk and a swim. The quiet side of Lake Taupo.

Kurutau is a beautiful very peaceful with amazing local and friendly people. We went on the river run fantastic and then a swim in the Lake. The weather is fresh, crisp nice and chill in the evening. My daughter's bach was right on top of Omori breathtaking view of the Lake and we could walk down for a swim.
I would highly recommend Kurutau to families, friends and to anyone doing a road trip around New Zealand.

Would stay at this place again but they need to give better instructions to get in the gate as the code doesn’t work. Don’t tell you that! Also doesn’t tell you no visitors allowed on the site but says that on the info sheet inside. Like you go to see family but they can’t stop in for a cuppa - bit rough!

Taupo is a great destination.
Taupo is a great destination. Pre-plan your activities in advance and enjoy the various activities on offer or just relax around the lake. There is a great variety and abundance of restaurants to suit every taste. We ate at the Vine restaurant, which was a little pricey, but the food was excellent.

Turangi is a beautiful, scenic location and the people are very welcoming and friendly. We were impressed by the service and choices at the Hydro Cafe, the Flytackle shop and the NZ Post shop. We also enjoyed the Pihanga Gallery showcasing local art and crafts and a delicious Italian meal at Valentinos. It was beautiful in late autumn and we'll visit again.

The beach is nice but it is always super crowded like the Riveria or something. Very limited facilities in Kinloch with just one general store and a cafe both of which are always busy because of the beach crowds. If staying in Kinloch you need to bring food with you.

I left Turangi and just came back after 17 years. There's a lot of improvement and a lot busier. I love Turangi and the sorrounding area. I was just dissapointed when I found out that the public toilet is not working.
