Hospitality was far better than excellent. Staffs were ever obliging with a smile. The environment was clean and beautiful. Nice spots to seat and relax. Though I was travelling solo, never felt alone. Room was clean and they had soft pillows with comfortable bed to sleep. I had a marvellous stay at Divine Kathmandu.

My entire stay was comfortable and secure. I was initially concerned about cleanliness and food, but both exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. The food was delicious—clearly, they have a talented chef—and the breakfast menu changed daily, which was a pleasant surprise.

I spent 5 days at the Magnificent Hotel and am very grateful to all the employees for their hospitality and kindness))) I really liked that it was a quiet and cozy place in a convenient location, not far from Durbar Square. The hotel employees helped me with various issues: order a taxi, choose an interesting place to walk, send a postcard, I am very grateful to them for this. There were also delicious and varied breakfasts, I also ordered dinners, it was great)) I highly recommend this hotel and will be happy to return one day☺️

Absolute perfection! Professional and warm service where you feel right at home. From the moment you book the hotel, the staff are extremely responsive and make every effort to ensure you arrive safe and enjoy your stay. We stayed 2 times at this hotel pre and post our 2 week trek. The room was super with all the listed facilities in working and clean order. The breakfast is delicious and the coffee is divine !! We had a very early flight to Lukla and the staff even made us a packed breakfast so we didn’t leave for our trip hungry. On returning to the hotel we had a delay with our flight by 1 day, and the hotel was super accommodating and ensured our room was kept for us and even made us food when we arrived after a very long journey back to Kathmandu. The rooftop is beautiful and a lovely way to spend your evenings - the restaurant make amazing Nepalese and western food. You don’t need to even leave the hotel really everything is there and they take so very good care of you. My only choice to stay in Kathmandu! They also offer spa and trekking/ sightseeing services which I’d love to try next time. Thank you dear Everest boutique hotel!

I booked for 1 night but stayed another night. Extremely value for money. Rajz the manager is very responsive on WhatsApp and very friendly person. If you’re coming from international flight, hotel pickup is complementary. For domestic flights it’s 1000 NPR. I change my USD at the hotel. They gave a higher rate compared to the airport or outside. Pawan the receptionist has been very helpful too. Genuine people. They don’t make you pay extra. Even they mentioned number of times that there will be 4% additional charge if you pay by card. For me it was okay. Madav picked me up from the airport. One of the smoothest pickups I had. Next day I booked the city tour for $60. Had Madav and the suv for the day. Visited 6 UNESCO sites in Kathmandu including Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Room was very clean. All the amnesties were there including a kettle, water bottles, dustbin, soap, shampoo, and towels. Heater was working perfectly and hot water is also available. Pretty good breakfast too. One of the best deals I had so far.

We visit Kathmandu every year or two and have for several years stayed at the Shanker before and after trekking. It’s close to Thamel but well away from the busy road, making it a quiet haven. The staff are very pleasant and attentive. The whole place is very clean, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. A large selection of foods for breakfast, a swimming pool and large garden. Good value for a quality hotel.

This was my 6th visit to Kathmandu. This hotel was better than any place where I stayed before. Its location is very good, not so much crowded. The breakfast was more than expected and the staff are all friendly. I will definitely stay at this place again if I visit Nweal again.

Kathmandu is bustling and alive, with plenty of trekking shops that offers Excellent gear at an excellent price, you will find EVERYTHING you need here. Durbar Square is cool, and if you can handle it the Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of Bagmati River - Crematoria is worth a visit. Restaurants overall are pretty good offerring a wide range of Western, Nepalese and Indian Cuisine. The shopping for local crafts and Cashmere are Great... .

In Nepal, both inDrive and regular taxi drivers can be tricky. They often charge more than double the normal price. With inDrive, after you receive a booking, they may call and ask for extra charges. If you repeatedly cancel bookings because you’re not comfortable, inDrive may even restrict your account. This caused a lot of trouble for us. I just want to remind everyone to be careful with taxi drivers and always make sure the cost or fare is clearly agreed upon beforehand.

I am an architect working in Heritage Preservation and have worked in the past in Nepal so I can say that Bhaktapur is the best preserved city in Nepal and an outstanding example of a community living their traditions and therefore aware of their own culture identity. It is a city who h teaches everyone how to respect and preserve our own cultural heritage, to be seen at least one in the life!

The location is perfect for quiet and relaxing. The facility is well maintained. Staff are very cooperative and friendly. Manager himself comes and enquire time to time when he sees you. Food is a bit expensive but tasty. Please consider visiting.

The room was beautiful, spacious and all amenities placed tightly. The location is perfect close to Boudha stupa just walking distance and very peaceful and serene. Security staff very welcoming and professional. Very eager to come back to this property , I would highly recommend this hotel .

An exciting, vibrant city full of interest, lovely people...

An exciting, vibrant city full of interest, lovely people and good food. Felt very safe. Also very cheap, £20 a night for two people in a good hotel. In Pokhara, after a twelve day trek we stayed in the smartest hotel I’ve every stayed in, right posh it was, pool, sauna, massage, etc all for £60 a night for two people. Napal generally is a very good option for holiday. While the initial flights are expensive, fly via Delhi takes about 13 hours and costs roughly £1000, once you’re there it’s very cheap with lots to do. Best suited for those people looking for an active holiday trekking, guided mountaineer, water sports, mountain biking, and temple ticking. A European holiday from Europe is cheap to get there but food and accommodation are expensive. Napal is expensive to get there but very cheap once you’re there. I’m 67 years old, this trip was my swan song my final big mountain exploit ! Well stuff that, it’s fired me up, I’m going back next spring, thanks Nepal.

Nagarkot , lovely place to stay there, neighbours and villagers are very friendly, safe and secure. In every morning or evening, we walk around Nagarkot village to Nagarkot sunrise tower through pine tree forest. It has good viewpoints to snowcaps of Hamalia range, sunrise, sunset and community villages in valleys. In Nagarkot, we can have fresh meat, chicken, egg and milks all are fresh and tasty. There are a lot of restaurants nearby Nagarkot but enjoy cooking fresh meals , breathing fresh breeze, so nice of community life there. In some day , visit to Bhaktapur Durbar square by bus, and can go to several sites as day trip. Good to learn Tamang culture. For us, at least we want to stay at least 7 days but we found very late so we can only stay 4 nights. We will definitely come back Nagarkot

It is less filled with tourists than Kathmandu or Thamel and seems to me more authentic. The Durbar square is amazing, as well as the small local temples and stupas. You can find delicious food everywhere, whatever you want, and people are very nice. You can get around on foot, but if you want to go to Kathmandu itself or to Bhaktapur, you can take a car via the Indrive app.
