We were lucky to be in the executive suite nbr 2 which is the best room of the hotel. We had an amazing view on the forest and the sea, and the hot tub all for ourselves as the other suite was not booked. The suite was huge, well equipped with a coffee machine, plates, cups, and glasses. Tea, coffee, and sugar at disposal. The beds were super comfy and the huge sofa was awesome to wait for the northern lights. The breakfast was delicious and very varied. I got addicted to their waffles. The receptionist was exceptional with us. He helped us with the ferry, explained how it worked, even assisted in planning a back-up itinerary in case we didn’t get it. They also arranged an early breakfast, as we had to leave at 7:30, so they opened the restaurant one hour earlier just for us. We really had an exceptional stay. We’ve read somewhere that the owners have changed and I can vouch that all the previous bad reviews that were written about that place do not reflect the reality now and the amazing experience we had. I just love that everything is in walkable distance. as for the person with no DL it matters big time. good connection with the airport with local buses, less than 20 min to the city center. cozy bars and restaurants by the port with friendly staff. live music is appreciated in bars- big plus! even in the center you can see northern lights. I ve got lucky with 19degrees C during the day and aurora by night in September. chill vibes all around. Telegrafbukta beach is super nice, not overcrowded. Loads of spots to sit, relax and read. Bodø isnt a common or popular tourist destination for most visitors to Norway but it has a lot to offer, from restaurants, beaches, nature hikes and excursions, northern lights, and of course not to forget Saltstraumen. Beautiful home and the perfect amount of space for a group of 5 friends travelling together. Location was wonderful and several steps away from a grocery store (Coop). We loved the beauty of the city.
We loved the beauty of the city. Tourist information staff were very friendly and helpful with information for sightseeing. War museum is excellently presented. Gondola ride to the top of Narvikfjellet is a must to see the beautiful sights from above Buses were easy to use and the plenty of shopping centres. We chose Alta, the City of Northern Lights, to "Hunt the Aurora Borealis". We were NOT disappointed. It was a magical experience. Lots of beautiful northern lights shows. We did a number of activities: night time horse drawn sleigh ride and dinner; king crab fishing experience; tour of the Ice Hotel at Sorrisniva; dog sled ride at Holmen Husky. We stayed at a canvas dome in GLOD, with the most amazing guide to see the Northern Lights. We stayed in a forest suite at Holmen Husky. The place was incredible and the way they treat the dogs will completely change your thoughts on the sport of dog sledding. They were the sweetest and happiest dogs I've ever seen. We stayed at Flatmoen Natur Lodge, which is a family owned and ran farm. Each lodge has their own private, outdoor jacuzzi so you can sit outside while the snow is falling or hope to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.Guest review bycmayes80United States - 10.0

The central location of Leknes on the Lofoten Islands was great for exploring the south and north. Shopping and dining were within walking distance of the apartment.
