- From US$269.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 176 reviewsThis is the third time we've booked a cabin in this paradise. It's always an unforgettable experience. The resort is a dream come true, located in one of the most beautiful places on planet Earth. The facilities are incredible, the staff is super attentive and friendly. My family and I think it's the best place in the world. The cabins are perfect, super comfortable, and incredibly well-equipped. Everything here is an extraordinary experience.Guest review byJavierSpain
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 981 reviewsThe atmosphere in the hotel is very special because it is old (opened in 1891) but has undergone major loving refurbishment in the 50s. The place breathes history and staying there was an awesome experience. It is anything but a run-off-the-mill stylish ski resort hotel! It has lots of old world charm and quirkyness. We absolutely adored the place: Think Thomas Mann's 'The Magic Mountain' and you are getting close.Guest review byBirgitSweden
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 573 reviewsBeautiful, peaceful place right in the middle of mountains. Calming lake, waterfalls. Cabins are perfectly located. Location itself is great, plenty of activities nearby. Close to Eidfjord where you can make groceries, book cruises or borrow bicycles. Owner is really friendly and helpful. In the cabin we found everything we needed. Bathroom has floor heating. Can recommend without doubts.Guest review byAnetaPoland

Vickinghaug is set amongst incredible Norwegian fjord...
Vickinghaug is set amongst incredible Norwegian fjord scenary. It has the other point of interest in that there is a, no longer functioning in its original capacity , factory in the middle of the Fjord. Because it poses no environmental problems any longer. This factory gives the Fjord an interesting historical relevance. The proprietors are obviously always improving the function of the accomodation to suit lots of different styles of travellers. We stayed in a three bedroom, self catering apartment with views on both sides. We had a drink in the evening looking over the lake and the waterfall and dinner at night looking over the Fjord. The walks in the area are popular because they are so full of natural beauty and thus attract many hikers and campers . The town felt slightly off piste from the over used tourist pathways which suited us perfectly.Guest review byRosemary SusanAustralia - 10.0

We went from Bergen to Odda on Saturday and spent one night at the hostel. We went for the hiking on Sunday early morning and back to Bergen at the afternoon. The small town is really cosy and beautiful.Guest review byYuxueNetherlands - 10.0
Eidfjord is a really beautiful city.
Eidfjord is a really beautiful city. We enjoyed every moment there with those landscapes. Mountains, river and sandbeach will give you more relaxiation. You will have everything that will need for your stay. There is a small supermarket as well though we didn't think about the price ;-)Guest review bySandunSri Lanka - 10.0
The Ulvik cideries were fantastic.
The Ulvik cideries were fantastic. Walking, biking, and jogging around the town and the surrounding area was so fantastic. One of the farms has an Excellent bakery that is open on Friday afternoon (only for a few hours that one day). Kayaking in the fjord was incredible. Exploring the surrounding areas and waterfalls was simply amazing. Great hikes all around. The town has limited options for groceries and places to eat out, but nevertheless provides everything needed. Definitely worth a visit for a quiet spot to explore the beautiful nature of Norway.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
The accommodation was spacious, new, modern and well-...
The accommodation was spacious, new, modern and well-equipped. It is a series of separate apartments on the first, second and third floors. Access is from a door on the street and it is not possible to unload a car from in front of the building. You have to park in another location but there is plenty of free parking available nearby. To get up to the apartments there is only a narrow stairway. The first floor apartment has a door opening on to a large roof-space with very nice views of the fjord and surrounding town.Guest review byCarolinaBrazil - 6.0
Tyssedal and Odda are both industrial towns.
Tyssedal and Odda are both industrial towns. There are mountains, the fjord and waterfalls, but there are also large heavy industry factories - one produces titanium oxide and one is a zinc smelter. They are there because they need power and there is a ready source of power from the hydro electric station located inside the mountain at Tyssedal. The location is great if you want easy access to Trolltunga and Bondhusvatnet, but it isn't very touristy - it is more of an industrial area. The Kraftmuseum is excellent. We ended up there because it was raining in the morning - however, it was really good - a film and then a guided tour of the old hydro electric station which has been restored. It also gives a lot of information about the area, how it changed from farming to industry and why it is so industrial. So to summarise - use Tyssedal/Odda as a base but don't expect unspoilt scenery.Guest review byGayeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Eidfjord is a very practical location since from there is access to many activities and visits that I would recommend such as Vøringsfossen, Kjeåsen, Norsk Natursenter - Hardanger and a lot of sensational excursions. Apart from that you have Hardangerfjord, the Ulvik/Voss area, Hardangervidda just a few kilometers away by car. And the town is small, quiet and charming.Guest review byMiguel AngelNorway - 6.0
Odda is quite small and the place is not too far from city...
Odda is quite small and the place is not too far from city centre. There should be an additional information about rent of duvets and bed sheets for 10 euro or 100 nor coron (they do not accept cards so you have to take cash from atm). Ppl at the reception are nice. However the information about limits in water quite weird. In Norway everything is a bit more expensive but comping just Bergen to Odda, Odda you have to multiply prices for accommodation. Quality wasn't that high, room clean but showers are need to be improved. Also they need to inform ppl to close the door from kitchen as smell is going around the whole building. Enjoy your stay don't forget to take your tracking shoes before entering the building. :)Guest review byBartoszIreland - 10.0

Eidfjors is an idyllic place with many things to do or enjoy. As main attractions you have the waterfall of Vøringsfossen, the norwegian nature center museum and the farms and views of Kjeåsen. Apart from that, other spectacular waterfalls and fantastic hikes. It is also a good place to relax and do nothing.Guest review byMiguel AngelNorway
