The bar was very nice and we had lovely foods and amazing cocktails!! The manhattan was very tasty and the cherry Moscow mule (kind of drink) was lovely lovely too!! Breakfast was one of the best buffet style breakfasts we ever had, Just all in all 10/10 would definitely stay again!!! One more thing…there was a door for guests that let you out and into the hotel right into the dunes…you could leave your room and be on the beach in less than a minute.Guest review bySanneBelgium
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 408 reviewsMolecaten Park Wijde Blick had something for the whole family: a fun playground with a trampoline plus a pool with a waterslide for children and nice outdoor spaces for grilling, relaxing or simply hanging out. The picturesque town of Renesse along the North Sea coast with its nice shops and restaurants is also a quick car or bike ride away. The above mentioned facilities as well as the housing was well kept. We also felt safe at all times. It is also a major plus there was a supermarket on the premises within walking distance from our cottage!Guest review byReynoldsGermany
- From US$124.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 5,518 reviewsI have rarely experienced the tranquility that I could live at this hotel. One cannot hear anything from the neighbouring rooms and the sorroundings were also idillic. I could take a video of deer walking totally relaxed among the trees under my balcony. I was also surprised getting an apartment, as I was only expecting to have a room as usual. Thank you for making my vacation so nice and memorable.Guest review byMonikaGermany

It's a very lively part of town but doesn't seem to be overly touristic, at least in October and May. As a woman it feels very safe to walk around at all hours, and the neighborhood is quite beautiful. The beach is like a breath of freedom. Also, if one is a surfer it's a good place to be.Guest review byJoisItaly - 8.0

Zandvoort was a good base with shops and restaurants. We visited the Circuit Park. We also enjoyed visiting Leiden by train and Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site by car. We ate at the Bella Italian restaurant near the railway station and various other places.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I used to live 20 minute cycle ride from here so have been there many times. Very nice town, the promenade is a lovely walk or bike ride. Would encourage people to hire bikes and explore. There is a fantastic bike ride through the dunes very scenic. The beach is very big with restaurants dotted all along. A really nice place to visit.Guest review byGRSUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Lovely promenade walk. Great choice of restaurants in the square. Recommend the restaurant in the old prison. Perfect spot for a drink watching the sunset. Hire a e-bike and cycle to Domburg via the coast. Plenty of spots to stop atGuest review byjacquiUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Village of Renesse has not much to offer : a couple of little supermarkets, sport shops and mostly fast food restaurants. Only reason to go there, is the impressive beach, with great views on seals colonies on bright days, and lovely walks sheltered by the dunes on not so bright and windy daysGuest review byMichelFrance - 8.0

Many opportunities for eating out and close to the beach and nature. Relatively far from the other cities but not as far as De Cocksdorp: Den Burg or De Waal would be a better option if you want to be in a more central area, but everything is relatively close so it does not matter too much.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
This is a wonderful place for a peaceful escape.
This is a wonderful place for a peaceful escape. It is in the middle of forest and pastures so it is very quiet. There are excellent walking trails nearby. The house is very clean and tastefully decorated with enough space to be very comfortable. Even in the cold of winter it was well heated. The kitchen is very well equipped with good quality items. The quirky coffee-maker is fascinating and makes excellent coffee. There is a very good collection of maps and guide books for the local area. Hanneke's welcome was fulsome and very friendly and informative. Checkout was efficient and friendly. There are several very good restaurants a short drive away, try Puur.Guest review byGlenUnited States - 10.0

Egmond aan Zee is a charming little beach town in the Netherlands with all the shops and Restaurants you could wish for. As a family of four we liked to walk to the Dekamarkt for our daily breakfast and snacks at the beach. At night we would eat at restaurants, at the typically Dutch snackbar 'Bij Brigitte' or eat Kibbeling(fish) at the Coast. We rented bikes for the day to travel further out. The remains of a castle in Egmond aan de Hoef was very interesting for our preteens and the next coastal town over 'Bergen aan Zee' was lovely as well. We visted the Aquarium there which was facinating for the entire family. Venturing out by foot into the Duinen is recommended as well. We saw wild Horses, oxes and a gorgeous sunset. In the Smidstraat there was a little secondhand Shop full of antiques. So much so that it seemed more a Museum than a shop! Everybody seemed to be able to speak a little German and if not their amazing english skills were impressive! I hope you have a wonderful time in Egmond aan Zee.Guest review byEveAustria - 10.0

Nes is a cosy, historical village, not cheap, but not very expensive either. It is the harbor village located almost in the middle of Ameland and therefore perfect for day trips to either direction. The restaurants are good quality, so is the ice-cream, the vegetables and everything else you can buy. There is a great supermarket called Jumbo on the main road from the ferry. If you want to go for hikes, nature with lots of birds, deer and wild rabbits are just a short walk away. The Amelanders love their horses, and they are everywhere.Guest review byMargrethe
