Common areas are super comfortable, overlooking the beach, and encourages chatting with the other guests but there's also areas to chill in a hammock, do yoga, or watch the surf and beach action. The young staff are very lively and welcoming. Our beginner surf lesson was awesome. A/C in the room worked very well and the sleep was quiet (except during the day when neighbours play music). Only 20min away (car) from The Beach (Pacific Ocean). The Cabanas are nice (No AC but with aeration). The regular rooms are super comfortable (+ AC !) It has spacious double rooms with fans and air conditioning. The breakfast is hearty and plentiful. It is peaceful and above all the staff are exceptional. They will help you with anything you need. Leon is a pretty and interesting city.
Leon is a pretty and interesting city. We enjoyed a walking tour and the art museum was absolutely fantastic. We also really enjoyed doing a few trips from here - to the beach/mangroves at Las Penatas, and a volcano hike. Las Penitas is only 2 hours from Managua and 20 mins from lovely Leon. It’s totally relaxing, with some great places to eat for every budget, surf schools and mangroves to explore. The fishermen bringing their boats in up the river are a great sight to see at high tide. Food was great, Tony was an amazing server and took care of us like we were family. On the down side, hotel needs a lot of improvement. Bathrooms are very duty, the lobby for some reason smelled like pee, and the cushions on the dining area were very duty too.Guest review byannette_0812Nicaragua
