- From US$437.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 208 reviewsWe had one of the best safari rides we remember. We saw lions hunting giraffes, white rhynos from very close, elefants. The nature reserve around the lodge is vast, with plenty of animals, and unlike Etosha cars are allowed to go offroads. We went to the lion feed too but we weren't lucky and lions didn't show up. We didn't have to pay for the activity, since lions didn't come. It was disappointing, but it's a proof that the lion feed is not a zoo, I'd definitely suggest to try it, the place from which you watch lions eat is impressive, it looks like a Jurassic Park movie. Regarding the property itself, it was luxury and comfortable, with a beautiful garden with a private waterhole full of hippos. You can sit there watching animals all day. Food was amazing too, especially the location where you have dinnerGuest review byAdrianoItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 435 reviewsEverything ! The location in the middle of the nature reserve of Okonjima was wonderful ! Seeing animals (giraffes, zebras, springboks) when you arrive at the hotel is great, the rooms were spacious and quiet to let the voice of the nature take over. The view from our room over the plain and sunrise with giraffes was incredible :) We ate very well (vegan options) and the service was top notch ! Thanks to Martin (reserve guide) for taking us to see leopards and zebras and more - it's something I'll never forget ! I recommend to stay more than 1 nightGuest review byAlexiaFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 323 reviewsWe really loved our stay here. The view is absolutely stunning and the people are really nice. The chef needs a raise so to speak, because dinner was PHENOMENAL! We loved it and she even let me take a picture of her recipe 🥹 We also paid for laundry (we were a bit surprised by the price, but I think it’s due to manual washing it and because of water being a resource). Laundry was done really really well, smelled good and just loved how they took care of our clothes. Thank you all for making our last days in Namibia unforgettable.Guest review byDelphineFrance
- From US$75.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 492 reviewsThis is a very well run hotel in between the Etosha and Hosea Kuato Airport so ideal for breaking up a 6-7 hour journey. Unlike some hotels booked online, this hotel delivered in every way. Superb clean quiet rooms, easy parking, safe location with friendly attentive staff that excelled. Lovely pool ... lovely evening meal at great prices for UK visitors. 20 ounce steak for £12 .... really! Cant praise this hotel high enough.Guest review byjohnUnited Kingdom
- From US$72.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 186 reviewsIt was wonderfully personal with manager Mikke giving us great local information and Leon driving us to and from their sister restaurant Out of Africa in the evening. Very spacious rooms (we booked honeymoon rooms), comfortable big bed, lively bathroom and great breakfast. Small property in lovely garden with secure parking. Despite being on Otjiwarongo’s Main Street there was no street noise at all.Guest review byKarenSpain
- From US$229.08 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 455 reviewsThe accommodation was of a high standard and we loved the design of the whole lodge, based on Ovambo style. The huge deck and restaurant areas were perfect for enjoying the wildlife in the surrounding land. The food was lovely, the grounds were beautifully maintained with lush planting and frogs, toads and fish in the streams. Attentive staff. Great gift shop selling a great range of Namibian craft.Guest review byLouiseUnited Kingdom

Otjiwarongo Railway Station with a locomotive worked between 1912-1960 is a real attraction. We visited the Cultural Center where 14+ children have the opportunity of dancing, playing on instruments, painting, drawing and so on after the school. Also we visited the Multi-Purpose Help Centre, where Monica Tjehiua presented the goals of the MPHC, which -for instance- feed the poor children, and organize lots of programs for the disabled persons, supporting old people. From Otjiwarongo it's quite easy to reach the Cheetah Foundation (40-45 km) and the Waterberg Plateau Game Reserve (80 km) as well.Guest review byEndreHungary - 10.0
This is a perfect halfway house from Etosha to Windhoek.
This is a perfect halfway house from Etosha to Windhoek. We left Etosha to travel south, visiting the Cheetah Conservation Foundation at Otjiwarongo and then enjoying a relaxed dinner and evening at Out of Town Africa Lodge. Our stay was perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was relaxed, we were not the early birds, but we were not rushed away by the staff. I highly recommend this little gem of a town and place to stay.Guest review byRachaelSouth Africa
