This trip with my sister was my second visit to Midgard. Our first visit was in 2018 with our mother to celebrate her 60th birthday, we were so impressed then. We love how the property has been maintained, healthy animals, upgrades being continuously made to the grounds. The friendly and helpful staff! We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, the deep tissues massage was the best I ever had, the horse ride with Milo was an experience. Our game ride tour guide was knowledgeable, we saw Impalas, Giraffes (one pregnant), blue and black wildebeests etc. The food was amazing! Thank you to the staff at Midgard for a lovely stay, worth every penny!
With an outdoor pool and garden, Waterberg Guest Farm is situated a the foot of the magnificent Waterberg. It offers rooms and bungalows and a lapa area. Massages can arranged on site.

Extraordinary on all levels. Wonderful bungalow offering intimacy, fantastic views and close contact with nature. I loved to take a bath in the outside tub and shower outside the next morning. Quite a view and a very pleasant experience ! Great staff and meals. I enjoyed every moment and also loved the outside fireside.

We stayed one night at the Waterberg Wilderness ONE and a second night at the Waterberg NWR Restcamp. The views from the ONE were outstanding (we were upgraded to the Plateau Lodge), but the lodging costs were much higher. The NWR had surprisingly nice facilities, considering they are state-owned. Staying in either location requires guests to eat there or to self-cater. The ONE location lodging includes breakfast and dinner. The NWR location includes breakfast, with dinner served at the restaurant (ordering from a menu with decent choices).
We did a game drive through the NWR, which was much more affordable, but we did not get to see much (it was the wrong time of the year to see animals at watering holes). That drive is to the Waterberg Plateau, which is a wonderful trip in itself (even without seeing much wildlife). The ONE game drives are more expensive, but go to their own reserve to view rhinos (probably available year-round).
