The lodge has luxury standard and it is just 40m from the gate of the park. The common spaces (garden, swimming pool, bar, hall) are beautifully furnished. Dinner and breakfast were amazing, with high quality cooking and huge variety. Rooms are very comfortable. If you are looking for a stay close to the south-east part of Etosha, this is perfection.

We even extended our stay twice because we loved it so much. Amazing, lovely and helpful staff, perfect amenities, we really enjoyed the pool and the bar with the waterhole. The location is perfect as it is right outside the gates of etosha, you can go in as early as the gates open and have no disadvantages to not staying inside the park. We will definitely come back!

Lovely lodge in the forest in a private reserve which boarders Etosha. Very nice staff & good food. There is a water hole right by the restaurant area. A group of 5 elephants came to drink there while we were having breakfast which was amazing. We highly recommend the sundowner drive within the Onguma reserve. Our guide (Jason) was fantastic & very informative and we saw an elephant, lions and white rhinos. You get a lot closer to the animals than when you’re in Etosha and there are max 3 vehicles at any one place so it doesn’t feel too crowded.

The camping units are large and comfortable. Lots of space. Clean and nice WC, 2 showers with hot water, 2 sinks for dishes outside and 1 sink inside near the shower. Cosy lighting in the evening and at night. The big advantage is the fact that guests of campsite can use the Etosha Village lodge facilities: swimming pools, towels, coffee service, wifi free of charge. From our campsite No 5 to the main swimming pool was approximately 750 meters (8 min) by foot. It was ok for us. There is a possibility to book a dinner at hotel for 385 NAD. We loved the camping.

This place was absolutely sensational! I loved every detail! The rooms come with your own private pool, a big comfy bed, and tons of tiny touches like nice toiletry products and cookies and bubbles in the fridge. An amazing place to stay if you are going to explore Etosha. The restaurant was also fantastic!

A quiet, small and personal lodge in the middle of nature just a short drive outside Etosha Park. Our small house was immaculate, with mosquito nets around the big bed and tastefully decorated overall. The public areas were beautiful. The three-course dinner under the stars was excellent both nights, as was the breakfast. We were happy to find a proper coffee machine for breakfast, I love that cappuccino in the morning. Staff was very friendly. Overall a positive experience.

This was our favourite place we stayed at in Namibia. Staff and service were great. They attended to our room multiple times during the day to open close the windows, getting the beds rooms ready for sleeping while we were at dinner etc. The room very pretty and cosy both with a nice indoor and outdoor shower. The bed very wide and so comfortable, also the duvet and pillows so comfortable. The general areas are nicely decorated and the have a fire in the evening you can sit around for pre dinner drinks, super cosy. The food was also very good. We did a safari excursion booked through the hotel and we got a private tour into the Etosha park and the guide was so knowledgable and friendly. Strongly recommend!

Extraordinary place, first thanks to its ideal situation close to Etosha national park, and most of all for the quality of a truly elegant lodge. Every detail is there, the rooms are so well decorated, the food is delicious and a special attention is given to the clients' wishes. Really it felt like a suspended moment in time, where we could relax after the long and exhausting trip on gravel roads. And we could see zebras from the garden and terrasse! We will come back for sure!!

Very nice lodge with your own small cabins that had everything you needed! Nice with three different pools, and the main pool had a really cool view. We saw giraffes, monkeys, zebras etc from the pool which was really cool! Very good dinner with a lot of options and variety from day to day. Safari was really nice and the car was not even full so you had a lot of space and the driver/ guide was very professional.

Mushers is amazing. Welcoming staff who were attentive and polite and very helpful. We booked a couple of game drives into Etosha with Johannes who was an awesome guide and meant when we then went on self drives we were better prepared and saw lots more stuff. The pool area is tranquil and a great place to relax and cool off. Lovely food throughout and an amazing place to see Etosha from.

It has been our 7th time in Namibia and our 5th in the Namutoni area. As always it is amazing! Wildlife is stunning and this year the scenario with the pan filled by rainfalls was absolutely one of the best scenario you can imagine. This year we missed elephants (just a few) which usually crowded Klein Namutoni, but area around Namutoni was plenty of wildlife such as hundreds of giraffes, impalas, gnus, zebras, springboks. We have seen also cheetah (quite frequent in this area of the park), black rhino and, for the first time in Etosha, leopard with cub. Great place!

If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great spot to base yourself out of. It's about an hour from the northern most section of the park, which we found to be the best spot from which to see predators in particular. The town isn't particularly well lit or well represented on Google Maps, though, so I would advise getting there well before sunset to make sure that you find your accommodation. Residents are incredibly helpful and will assist with directions is needed.

We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). Fuel is CRITICAL for planning in rural Namibia!

As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but we saw many herds of antelopes, wildebest and zebras. A single giraffe standing in an area near Halila was beautiful. Watering holes were well marked and lovely settings to spend time viewing though some roads were deeply rutted. Sorry to have detour cut off several watering holes near Anderson Gate but understand its necessary for park maintenance.

We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park.

We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. No good for self drive! There were no animals at the waterhole in Okaukuejo...
