It was also close enough to Eldorado, so we also did the predator tour. We even saw Dik Dikkies on our way back to our room one night. Braai facilities are also in a great condition

The location is perfect- close to the gate to Etosha, so you can be at the gate early in the morning. Staff was really friendly, campsite facilities were great with kudus, giraffes and zebras wandering around! I would definitely stay again

*Etosha village has the most friendly staff compared to the lodges I visited.
*What I loved the most is the variety of food served and the food is so delicious and fresh.
*The toilet facilities are well maintained very clean, the staff makes sure to clean the toilets maybe twice or three times in a day I am now referring to the toilets next to the restaurant that is used by everyone. For me it is very hygienic and as a guest one is very comfortable to use a clean toilet.
* The balcony at the back of each room and the sitting bench outside very nice and relaxing to sit and enjoy the view of nature.

Everything is perfect except it is very expensive. Really a 5-star accommodation in any perspective.
Regarding animal sighting, we saw an elephant in distant when we were having our lunch. There is also a waterhole that you can view from restaurants or walk very close. Higher chance seeing rarer animals like lions and Kudu.

We loved this place! Nice, clean and new rooms. Everything looks perfect. Staff is nice, food is delicious, nice pools. Only half an hour from Etosha. This was the nicest place we stayed during our 3,5 weeks holiday in Namibia. Definitely go back there when we return.

Close to von Lindequist gate to Etosha, so peaceful and quiet, staff are all friendly and helpful, lovely swimming pool, the tents are large and comfortable with full mosquito nets over the beds. Good breakfast and dinner. All good 😊

Good and clean Family accomodation in a cottage. Very good food. Nice Garden and Pool with a wonderful view. Very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast is offered early as from 5 am so that you can get to Etosha early.

A very convenient place to stay if you wanted to visit Etosha and wanted to stay outside the park. Good food and pleasant surroundings. We stayed in the tents but maybe would stay in the chalets next time

It has been our 7th time in Namibia and our 5th in the Namutoni area. As always it is amazing! Wildlife is stunning and this year the scenario with the pan filled by rainfalls was absolutely one of the best scenario you can imagine. This year we missed elephants (just a few) which usually crowded Klein Namutoni, but area around Namutoni was plenty of wildlife such as hundreds of giraffes, impalas, gnus, zebras, springboks. We have seen also cheetah (quite frequent in this area of the park), black rhino and, for the first time in Etosha, leopard with cub. Great place!

If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great...
If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great spot to base yourself out of. It's about an hour from the northern most section of the park, which we found to be the best spot from which to see predators in particular. The town isn't particularly well lit or well represented on Google Maps, though, so I would advise getting there well before sunset to make sure that you find your accommodation. Residents are incredibly helpful and will assist with directions is needed.

We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). Fuel is CRITICAL for planning in rural Namibia!

As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but...
As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but we saw many herds of antelopes, wildebest and zebras. A single giraffe standing in an area near Halila was beautiful. Watering holes were well marked and lovely settings to spend time viewing though some roads were deeply rutted. Sorry to have detour cut off several watering holes near Anderson Gate but understand its necessary for park maintenance.

We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. No good for self drive!
There were no animals at the waterhole in Okaukuejo...
