Our favourite accommodation in Namibia. Location was beautiful, with lodges ideally positioned along the river to capitalise on the amazing views. Fantastic common area, again offering the perfect spot to sit and admire the river and spot crocs, with a tea or coffee in hand. Delicious food, we had 2 dinners at the camp and both were great, catering to our dietary requirements. River cruise offered by the lodge which we loved, it was so serene and provided the opportunity to get up close to hippos.
Really kind and attentive staff, who went out of their way to help.. Perfect two night stay, highly recommend for anyone travelling the Caprivi Strip!

The service was great.
The campsite locations are amazing, we were located at campsite 6 (no river view) (even though I had asked for campsite 4 in order to have a river view).
There was a nightlife ranger passing by every 30 min to be sure no wildlife was around our campsite

Everything was perfect, the location, the staff, the food (they made vegan just for me and with very good quality), the room was incredible, and the game drive and the boat cruise were both great.

The accommodation experience in this small town was excellent. The homestay was clean and tidy, with a warm and comfortable environment, and the small courtyard was well-maintained. The owner was kind and friendly; not only was the service thoughtful, but they also thoughtfully offered to pick us up and drop us off to and from the town. They even allowed us to check out late because our bus was at 13:00. We really loved this homestay.

Great welcome. Absolutely fantastic for birds and wildlife. Could easily spend hours enjoying the stunning view from the room and grounds. Everyone friendly and helpful, the manageress was lovely, coming to speak with us at meals. Sundowner Boat trip fabulous, great guide. To have the amazing Mahangu Core Reserve only 15 minutes away was excellent, Elephant, Giraffe, Hippo and so much more. The food was delicious, catering for our vegetarian diet. For birders the views of Rock Pratincoles just incredible, I saw over 150 species of bird in a day in this area. Would love to return again.
We spent 2 wonderful days at Water Villas, liked everything, the delicious food, the extremely friendly staff, especially Kelvin, the captain on the boat, Joy, the lady, who explained us what we should order for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Josephine, who were with us on our two boat tours and always had a smile in her face. We were the only guests, felt like kings in France in this wonderful calm and peaceful landscape on the Namibian side of Chobe river and enjoyed really each second. Sorry, Joel, somedays we will come back ….

Successful stay! The welcome by the owners was warm and professional! The staff is very very friendly, competent and helpful. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The food in the restaurant is very very good! Our compliments to the chef who cooked us a very delicious 3-course menu that evening! The rooms are very clean, the staff does a great job here too. Internet is fast and stable. Air conditioning in the room and clean an well maintained.
The hosts, Hennie and Veronika, were super friendly. Everything went very well, they organised a boat tour on the Kwando for us and it was fantastic, we saw many birds, hippos and other wildlife! The food was great and the rooms were comfortable. The location is also very good and the view is truly magnificent!
I highly recommend this place!

Good location as not too much off road driving to get there. Game drive and boat safari were very pleasant. Lots of hippos.
Rooms all newly and beautifully refurbished and a good size
Lovely lodge, spotlessly clean, good food and friendly staff. Excellent area for birding. Thank you Rulinda for everything and for all your help with our onward journey.

The location on the water is great and the boat trip on the river with Kennedy was very nice. The bar and deck has lovely views and the plunge pool is very welcome in that heat. The tents were not great and the shower was horrible.

Kongola itself is quite small.
Kongola itself is quite small. However, river cruises are on offer, with fantastic animal and bird sightings, as well as magnificent sunsets on the Kwando river.
Another advantage is the Mudumu National Park, with an abundance of wildlife and birds,
