Netherlands+ Everything is made out of bamboo. Not in a cheap way, but in a classy and eco kind of way. It looks super nice! The property is beautifully maintained and is super clean!
+ They serve breakfast at 08:00, lunch at 13:00 and dinner at 20:00. Everyone eats together in the restaurant that is open to the outsides and is beautifully located next to the beach. All is served in buffet form. They change the menu with every meal and the food is absolutely delicious!! (We booked half-board, but could pay for either buffet or a la carte lunch on the spot)
+ During our stay we got brand new snorkelling equipment to use for free.
+ On an information board in the restaurant, you can see what excursion is planned for the next day. The activity depends on the weather. You can opt in or out. We went snorkelling for 25 USD per person.
+ The staff is super friendly and goes absolutely above and beyond for you to have a good time.
+ Our speedboat back was scheduled at 13:00, the property gave us a late check-out till 12:00 for free.

Czech RepublicGrand Hotel is a newly renovated accommodation (partly under renovation) the rooms smells nicely and are clean.
We had full board and all meals were served in the second floor restaurant overlooking the whole area and partly the sea. The food was excellent, we were surprised how good the Italian specialties were. The local dishes were also good and traditionally slightly spicy. Only water was served with the meal and the portions were not very large but we didn't mind, perfect for swimwear :-) Don't forget to take repellent even for breakfast (repellent gel was on every room for free, it was very helpful). Thanks to restaurant manager who takes a really good care of us during meals.
Bicycles were not available and unfortunately it's quite a walk to the bikini beach, and it's over an hour walk to the romantic end of the island we chose it for. Whether you walk along the beach or through the town and jungle, it really is a pleasant walk. The area around the hotel and the beach is nicely maintained and clean.
Shaheen is the young but very experienced manager of the hotel, he always helped us with everything and took us on great excursions and especially because of him we were able to snorkel with the whale shark and mantas. Shaheen, thank you for everything again.
We will definitely recommend this accommodation to our friends!

It was a perfect family vacation thanks to the lovely staff, services, facilities and the island.
We appreciated the kindness the Ayada staff showed especially towards our little child. Always gentle and helpful with a smile in their face and no matter if butler, waiter, director, kitchen chef, masseur, transportation staff.
The service was always impeccable with regards to our necessities: getting organized a microwave to heat up our child's food, getting food to our room, cleaning up the room, getting some dessert to our room. Our Butler Zak was available 24/7 and very helpful for everything we needed. We even received an upgrade for our stay with a swimming pool and direct access to the beach. When asking why, they said: "Because we love you!"
Food quality and variety was good as well as the SPA massage we received. The offering of sport variety was amazing from football to volleyball to tennis and kayak.
We especially enjoyed our daily bike tours on the island and the infinite swimming pool with beach view at Zero Degree.
The island and its nature had a lot to offer: wonderfull beach, crystal water, baby sharks, crabs, bats.
An unforgettable experience we will always keep it in our heart and will regress one day for sure.

Everything about this place is so good.
First, the staff, something might be really well done with the people working at Meeru as they seemed genuinely happy and helpful, no matter where, at the reception, at the bars, at the restaurants, in the activities. People were really welcoming.
Second, our villa, so amazing. Everything we had hoped for with everything we need, so beautiful as well.
Then, the island and everything in it, always so clean, so comfortable, such a paradise on earth. Transfers were smooth. Life in the island was perfect (ahah!)
The AIP is really great as it not only includes food and drinks but also activities, which we did some.
Shoutout to the food as well, always delicious and with so much choice.
To summarize, I think that everything on the island was made thinking about the guests and to provide them the most amazing stay.

We had an amazing time at Velassaru! The hotel is absolutely beautiful — everything from the beaches to the landscape is perfectly maintained. What really stood out to us was the staff: everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed.
Our bungalow was incredible, we stayed in an overwater bungalow with a private pool, and it was just perfect. The view was amazing, especially at sunset, and we loved being able to jump straight into the sea or relax in the pool in total privacy. The coral reef just in front was a great spot for snorkeling!
The food was great, and we especially loved the fact that they serve cava at breakfast — such a nice touch!

The property is very well balances between entertainment and calmness. The food is great, people are amazing and it’s just 15-20 minutes from Velana airport. Our Island Host, Mr Zaki. He made sure we had the best times of ourlives. i’ve never met a more accomodating host than him. he guided us from our arrival till the last hour of our departure. Sports arena is nice, water facilities are available for those who are interested in them. For me and my wife, We had the best time of our lives.

I stayed in a vila with a pool on the balcony. I could go for snorkelling from my room.
There are two coral reefs with lots of marine life for snorkeling
We saw Manta Rays and Sharks, during the evening on the dive center - we didnt even need to snorkel everything
There was a band in the evening, on a very pleasant bar
Food was great with lots of international options (just do not expect pork - it is a muslim country)

We loved everything about this hotel. Paradise island with white sand and turquoise water. Excellent staff who were professional and dedicated to making our stay perfect. Excellent choice of restaurants. The room was a very good size and beautifully decorated. We loved there were many excursions and activities offered too at this resort. We dived and got involved in coral planting. The resort was perfect !!

Where do I start ? I have been to several One & Only resorts and can honestly say that the Reethi Rah is by far the best of them , every aspect of the property was superb. I would like to thank our “butler” Soukaina for her excellent personal service. In fact all the staff deserve recognition for their work, they were so helpful and friendly.

Absolutely visit th main Island, there lots to visit and experience. Food and people were fantastic. Beaches and activities are also great. There many different boat trips and Island flights, although expensive worth exploring. Its a dry Island so be prepared that theres no alcohol, when were were at airport to fly to Male the duty free are selling you alcohol so if you arrive with bottles etc in hand or checked in luggage its confiscated.

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced.
One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

The people that work there in the island are very genuine...
The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life.
The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.
