ItalyWe were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful hotel during our holiday in Dhigurah, and we can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience.
The property is brand new, with a simple yet beautifully designed style, spotlessly clean, and up to full European standards. With only a few rooms, it guarantees peace and privacy — perfect for those seeking relaxation and quiet.
But what truly makes this hotel special is the staff: attentive, friendly, always smiling, and ready to help in any situation. One example? We accidentally locked the scooter keys under the seat during a heavy rain… and within minutes, three people of the staff came to help us, without hesitation, in the pouring rain! Such kindness and dedication truly moved us.
We felt pampered, welcomed, and cared for with both discretion and professionalism.
If we return to Dhigurah — and we truly hope to — we will definitely choose this hotel again! It deserves much more visibility, because it’s a true gem on the island.

I want to thank the hotel team for their warm welcome. They have their own speedboat that takes you from the airport to the island. At the start of the island, an electric bus picks you up and brings you directly to the hotel. What follows is a delightful surprise and a seamless check-in to a cozy room with panoramic windows, refreshing air conditioning, and a stunning view.
A big thank you to the entire hotel team for:
The complimentary island tour.
The fact that the most beautiful beach on the island is just steps away from the hotel.
The delicious breakfasts and dinners.
The daily room cleaning.
The nighttime fishing experience.
Atif’s assistance with excursions, where he acted as a guide and ensured everything went smoothly.
The team also provides plenty of free snorkeling gear, including masks, fins, and vests, which was fantastic.

- The work ethic and friendliness of Areef. He worked nonstop to make our stay perfect. When we departed he came down to the harbour to make sure there were no complications with our boat and we left on time
- The room was fantastic. Immaculately clean and very functional. Internet 10/10. Cleaned every day. The shower was piping hot and like something from a 4-star hotel
- Location is excellent just a 5-minute walk from Bikini Beach and a similar distance to the brilliant Compass Restaurant located on the beach
- Beautiful quiet and clean inner courtyard where everyone has breakfast. There is somewhere to wash off the sand before going into the building which ensures everything stays clean
- Areef as mentioned does everything in his power to ensure a good time is had. He even pointed me to the local football pitch where I was able to join a game of 5 a side
- The price of the accommodation is excellent and offers unrivalled value for money from our experiences of travelling the Maldives
- Dhangethi is a lovely community island. Here you experience the real Maldives. There are only 5-6 guesthouses so tourists do not overwhelm the atmosphere like they do on other islands
- Dhangethi is a great place to base yourself if you want to see Dhigurah. Dhangheti is much more intimate and enjoyable to stay on. We did a speedboat day trip to Dhigurah for $10 each way which was a sufficient time there. It felt great to 'come home' to Dhangethi after

The room has everything you need, very spacious as the bathroom with a big space for the shower. Nice towels, changed often or on request.The fridge in the room is a good extra to keep water/fruit in it. A/C and fan working well, and no mosquitos at all. The patio outside the room is a very nice place to relax. Ishan helped a lot for every single need or information. Breakfast is amazing, rich and different every day; a special thank to Htun for her kindness always, she is the best breakfast chef in Thoddoo (best pancakes ever!) and she made the difference in our stay.

Food:
Reefs Buffet Restaurant
Amazing choices of food during Breakfast and Dinner, from freshly made eggs to Maldivian Mas Huni, from Müsli to Thai noodles - all what you get is freshly made on the island and tastes really well. Fresh fruits, fresh juices, croissant’s, dark bread and a wide variety for kids.
Special food choices during the stay were: Thai Street Food Festival, Barbecue Buffet, Seafood Buffet. There are 2 restaurants as well - one for Thai Food, one for Italian food. All choices are very good and tasty.
Kids Club:
Our tiny little lady loved the Kids Club and the friendly staff. A huge ball bed with a slider insider, as well a kids kitchen, books, lego - everything a toddler can have fun with. The outside area is great as well - a huge slider and swings as well. Lot‘s of activities during the stay (every day something new).
Housereef snorkeling:
Lots if fishes to see - I saw some bigger sharks (black tip, white tip, grey reef shark and nurse sharks) and some stingrays - all are very close but friendly. The corals are great - lots of other creatures as well (Tuna, reef fishes, snapper, Octopus, Calmar …).
Turtles are there as well and you can spot them around the island. I saw an eagle ray as well. During the whale shark trip, happily we saw a 11-meter one ☺️ amazing. But there is no guarantee to see them.
Gym
Well equipped with basic machines and free weights, cross trainer and treadmill. All are in good shape. Some daily activities you can join (stretching, HiiT, Yoga). Cold water and cold towels are there as well.
Bungalow
Well equipped and comfortable with great room service. Calm see in front of the bungalow and a nice privacy. It is a 2 floor building with a fan, day bed, air conditioning and inside and outside shower.
Bars
The Coral and Aqua bar are different.

From the very first moment, we arrived at the airport and met the Kandolhu team until our departure. Every detail of our stay was flawlessly orchestrated to create an exceptional experience. Though we stayed for only three nights, the warmth, professionalism, and excellence of the team made it truly unforgettable.
Location: The journey itself is part of the magic—just a 20-minute scenic seaplane flight followed by a short 5-10 minute boat ride that transports you to this paradise.
The Island: Small, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful, Kandolhu is the epitome of a private island retreat.
The Resort: Thoughtfully designed with just 30 villas, the property balances exclusivity and comfort. It offers five outstanding restaurants, a stylish bar, a well-equipped gym, a serene spa, and a sea activities center—ensuring that every guest finds their own perfect way to unwind.
Our Villa: We chose an overwater villa, and it exceeded all expectations. With a private pool and direct sea access, it provided the perfect blend of luxury and tranquillity.
Staff & Service: The essence of true hospitality is mastered here. The team anticipated our needs before we even realized them, creating a seamless, highly personalized experience. Their warmth and attention to detail set a new benchmark for excellence.
Dining: A standing ovation to the executive chef, sous-chefs, and the entire culinary team. The food was fresh, inventive, and packed with flavour. With five distinct restaurants—offering Mexican-Peruvian, Mediterranean, Japanese, Sea Grill, and an all-day dining option—every meal was a delightful journey of taste.
Spa: We had the 'couple ritual'. A sanctuary of relaxation, the spa at Kandolhu offers a truly rejuvenating experience. With expert therapists, soothing treatments, and a tranquil setting, every session feels like a retreat within a retreat—perfect for unwinding and embracing the island’s serenity.

Constance is a small hotel group with hotels in the Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius and Madagascar. We have stayed at almost all of them because the service sets Constance apart from other hotels. The management takes care of all the guests' concerns. E.g. everything was perfectly organised for my birthday. A great menu in the wine cellar of the Jinn Restaurant (special thanks to the head sommelier and the chef who conjured up the menu). The bungalows are very nice, all with their own pool. Housekeeping twice a day who clean everything perfectly. The in-villa dining is perfectly organised. The food is not cheap but very good. The same applies to breakfast and the two a la carte restaurants and the buffet restaurant. Even better at Christmas and New Year's Eve with a great selection and super quality of all dishes. The wine list, whose wines you can enjoy in all restaurants, is breathtaking (over 100 pages!!). The spa is very good and staff also super friendly. A great holiday from arrival to departure. We would especially like to mention Mr Sameera Karunaratne, the Food and Beverage Manager, who checked with us every day to make sure everything was OK. My husband was not so fit for 2 days and Mr Sameera Karunaratne organised a very special meal for us in the villa. We didn't have to ask or pay anything extra for it. The same applies to a special evening with a menu on the beach because we missed the Christmas menu due to illness. Strongly recommended hotel!

Normally I am not the "all icl" person but it was so great over there. For me, all icl was really necessary, you don't have shops or other restaurants at the island (there is 1 little souvenier shop but not a supermarket or sth like this). The food was really good (buffet; pasta station - loved it!! - currys, desert station, Pizza, meat etc. Small island (when you take a walk at the beach you are done with the whole island in ~10 Mins :D but a lot to see / do: Pool (no people there; maybe just at the evening), good food & cocktails, animals (geckos & bigger ones are everywhere on trees, fruit bats, ginger the cat, a grey heron, two little parrots, little sharks, octopus & rays esp at dusk; take a torch at night or you will step on a crab :D). staff is very nice, especially the cooks at the pasta station! there are a lot of italians on the island, but animation is in english too (movie night, sports, music quiz etc). our water bugalow was very spacious and great! we didnt wear shoes on the whole island (even at dinner there is a sandy bottom) <3 Would definetely recomend a stay on this island and book again!

Beautifully and remotely located, takes about an hour to reach in a fast speedboat. Well maintained rooms with everything you need. Transport was very well arranged both when arriving and when leaving.
We had a water villa which was very good value for money, a spacious room with room for an extra bed and a very large bathroom. The bathroom was also accessible from the patio of the villa to shower off saltwater after snorkeling.
Snorkeling opportunities were good right outside the room, and we saw a lot of reef sharks.
Food was excellent and varied, I highly recommend booking at least full board. If you like to drink a lot go for all inclusive, but we didn’t reach that even when drinking to our hearts content.
Excursions are available, and the ones we went on were very well arranged with excellent guides who cared a lot both for the guests and the marine life.

A wonderful resort on a beautiful island. We stayed in the Deluxe Overwater Villa, which was luxuriously furnished and equipped. The entrance directly from the terrace to the water was amazing. They cleaned twice every day and refilled the water bottles in the morning. They cook excellently in the restaurant. A large selection of local and Italian cuisine at dinner. Also fish every day. The kitchen staff also took care of our gluten-free diet - they baked gluten-free bread and pastries and prepared gluten-free pasta. Free water served at dinner. Beautiful sandy beaches with a coral reef with fish, turtles and reef sharks. Attentive staff. We recommend it to everyone.

Surrounded by a lively and beautiful reef, offering great service, food, spa and unforgettable excursion trips(manta, turtle and whale shark snorkelling, etc )Nika was the best choice we could make in Maldives. Hard to find another resort that provides fresh smelling towels at all times :) We’ve extended our stay for 4 more days and experienced both beach villa and water villa.. Both were breathtaking. Already looking forward to our next stay

The service, respectfulness and friendliness of the employees were very good. We admired the facility's care for nature and not using plastic. There is nothing to say about the view and the sea, it was perfect. It was also good that the food was varied and delicious. The care they showed when leaving was also very nice.

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.

It is a small enough island to walk around.
It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello.
There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food.
There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists.
We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than...
You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways.
Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants.
Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type.
Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out.
Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got.
Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

Feridhoo is an island inhabited by locals. They are Muslims, so respect them and wear decent clothes when walking through the village. The island has 2 restaurants with good food and fair prices, one dive base (Noohiri) and one small shop next to Shifa Lodge. We came for diving and found an abundant maritime life. There are 2 beach areas, one at the east side with the best snorkeling ground, the other at north/west side with berths for relaxing.

We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄
The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there
